Good team or not, I do not like Nick Saban. I think he choked in the pros and made a very chicken **** decision by leaving his team. I guess he really couldn't handle the pressure of NFL football. You can't run so much of a dictatorship like he runs in college.
I think he's a great coach, but at the first site of failure he can't handle the pressure. He lied big time when he was coach of the Dolphins which was my biggest gripe with him. All that said, he's not worse than Bobby Petrino though. Petrino shouldn't get the right to coach again as that was the most pathetic move a man can make as a coach: Ditch your struggling team mid-season for a college team.
Teams shouldn't have taken him because he lacks any long term committment. Nick Saban is kind of like that but Saban is much more respectable

I'm pretty sure that Alabama went 7-6 last year, Pitt went 5-7 and wasn't even bowl eligible, there's no reason that they should have been ranked to start the season. Rankings shouldn't be released at all until at least week six. Then we wouldn't have teams moving up because they beat an overranked team etc etc.

Anyone care to tell me why the hell USC is STILL ranked in the top 10 after losing to the Oregon State Beavers? I mean really... USC has played two less games than Georgia and they lost to an unranked team. They're now ranked #9.
Georgia was #3 and knocked down to #11 after losing to #8 Alabama. My Bulldawgs never get any RESPECT! Trojans vs. Beavers... LOL!

Today I watched Big 12 football at its finest. no# 1 Oklahoma and no# 5 Texas. My Longhorns prevail and made mince meat out that highly vaunted Sooner D.

Texas Longhorns are number one in the poles this week after smashing the faces of the hated Oklahoma Sooners. Tough game next week at home against the Missouri Tigers.

I haven't kept in touch with College football in awhile, how are FSU doing? Bobby Bowden still coach? Is he still alive?

I hate to see college kids (any player) having to deal with this. Especially for the Tar Heels!

A season of huge potential has ended prematurely for Brandon Tate, who gets knocked head over heels by Notre Dame defenders Steve Quinn (4
and Mike Anello in the first quarter Saturday.
North Carolina Tar Heels senior wide receiver Brandon Tate, the 18th-ranked Tar Heels' top playmaker, will miss the remainder of the season with torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his right knee, the school announced Monday.Tate injured his knee in the first quarter of North Carolina's 29-24 win over Notre Dame and did not return. He had an MRI on Sunday and will undergo surgery at UNC Hospitals later this week.
This is a huge loss for the Tar Heels (5-1, 1-1 ACC), who have struggled offensively even with Tate in the lineup and last month lost their starting quarterback, T.J. Yates, for six weeks with an ankle injury.
Tate ends his career as the NCAA's all-time leader in combined kick return yards with 3,523. At the time of his injury, Tate was leading the ACC with a per-game average of 163.7 all-purpose yards. Through the first six games, Tate had 376 receiving yards, 305 kickoff return yards, 158 punt return yards and 143 rushing yards.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
