Help! Can't download Psychonauts from Xbox Live

I just bought Psychonauts (1200p) over Xbox Live, but when I try to download it, after after 10 minutes it says "Cant download" I have 10gigs left on my HDD and the game only takes up 1.5gigs.

I downloaded Fable just fine the other day so what gives!?

It might help people to help you if you could list the error message exactly as it comes up. Any error code?

Also, I assume you tried more than once, does it always fail at the same % completion?

It only says cant download. I looked on the game page and the game apparently takes up 4.5 gigs but on my system it says it only takes up 1.5? Its like it only downloads a quarter of the game.

You could try to clear the cache of your HDD. If something got aborted you could have leftovers eating space.

Just be aware that you will have to re-download game updates for any games that had them the first time you play them again.

Could there be some DRM involved? Is it something you originally purchased, deleted to make some room and now are trying to download once more? That would normally work unless your unit was repaired\refurbished in the meantime -- in which case you would have to call Microsoft... which you might have to do anyway unless some other forum member can help you out.

Cancel the download, then go into your harddrive and delete the file. Cancelling the download doesn't get rid of the file(which is corrupt), you have to do it manually. So get rid of it and then restart the download.

That should do it!

are you sure you have 10G left (i assume you have 20GB drive),
i think fable + psychonaut can be > 10 GB, i think 1,5GB is the size that already downloaded , maybe you can try delete fable first (you can redownload it again anyway), then try to download psychonauts.

I have received a similar problem when I was trying to download an HD movie, and I didn't have enough room on my HDD.

after deleting a XBOX original game you bought & download from LIVE, is it possible to download it again for free?

yes if you bought it, you can redownload it again, especially if you have limited space (20GB hdd)

Yes, you can re-download it for free to your same Xbox 360. If you get a new Xbox 360, you will have to use the official online license transfer tool kit in order to download and play the title on your new Xbox 360.

Yes I'm certain.

I think it's a server problem so I will call Xbox this afternoon and hope they can fix the issue.

It's already been said, but I'll re-iterate, go to you last blade, select memory, find the 1.5gb file, it will probably have a yellow triangle exclamation sign on it.
Delete it.
Download it again.

Just letting you guys know that I rang up support and they fixed the issue. I can know play the game and it's pretty damn funny.

Just in case it happens to one of us one day, did you get any details from them about what the source of the problem was?

Nope, they didn't tell me although she did say I have to play the game in 50hz to able to play the game.
