    Does MS cover disk tray error?

    My disk tray has trouble ejecting. I have to use a razor to open it. Does MS cover this?

    I know a friend who has this issue also, although he believes it's just a firmware issue because he just got his 360 modded

    If you're still in the one year warranty period they'll fix it, the three year warranty only applies to RROD.

    If the 360 has been modded, that means he has opened it. If he has opened it, he has pried the DVD drive button off. He probably put it back on incorrectly, or broke the button mechanism.

    I don't have this problem. Probably, if you call them and ask I am sure they will help you.

    MS will cover it so long as it's in the first year, anything over a year they won't cover unless it's the RLOD/RROD.

    @Restricted,

    Fable 2, how is it?

    they fixed(not replaced) my 360 when the disc tray wouldn't close. apparently problems with the disc trays in the early editions of the 360 is almost as common as the RROD, something to do with the magnets slipping?
    i was 3 days away from my 1 year warranty when i called microsoft but they didn't ask me for a receipt or anything to prove i was still on warranty
