I bought the game yesterday..completed it once, and found out that the only trophies I am really currently having problems with are the ones in which you have to "fully research" a splicer. There are so many of thembut that's not the problem.
Problem is.. what is the requirements for "full research"? Cause I took literally hundreds of pictures of all of them and didn't get any trophy for it. I also have hacked more than 50 things yet I haven't been given that trophy either?
Is there a bug in this game or am I doing something wrong?

Your best bet is to check out http://www.ps3trophies.co.uk/ , there are some forums set up which should explain how you get these trophies / what you do.

Fully research means you need to take pictures of every single kind of enemy in the game until the research is maxed out, that is included the security bots, big daddy, little sister, etc.

When you take a photo of a splicer etc. you'll notice the red bar fills up a bit. This bar has to be completely filled up about 3 times, if I remember right. You can tell when you've fully researched something because your final research reward will be called "damage increase +++", which I assume means you do 3 times more damage to this enemy than you normally would. You'll be rewarded a trophy after getting this "damage increase".
*edit - Sorry, just re-read your post. I haven't got this trophy which you're talking about, but don't forget that security bots, turrets and cameras also can be photographed. You probably have to max out these as well
