Those are somepretty sweet shots of farcry2.
IMO, Far Cry 2 is amazing from a technically. It may not have the textures and godly shaders of crysis but the way vegatation moves makes everything look so much better to me. Just try throwing a grenade in the middle of a forest and watch how all the plants react appropriately to the explosion. Crysis does this too but the effect here is just much more pronounced. A windy rain shower also affects how the plant life move. Fire propagation also looks really cool once you give it a try. The only thing bad imo is enemy AI. They're both dumb and cheap at the same time. Dumb because a lot of times they just stand in the open shooting at you, even if you lob a grenade at them. Cheap because they seem to have extremely heightened senses to detect your presence even if you're crouching under every plant shadow, moving from bush to bush in the middle of the night T_T

Take a look at Crysis Warhead my friend, it has perfected vegetation and grenade shockwave effects. DAMN THE FIRST TWO DEAD SPACE PICS ARE UNREAL!

I'm currently playing warhead right now, going through the frozen paradise level at some pretty high settings (custom configs) and yeah it looks good and all but farcry2 comes close imo in terms of environment (character models are a different story though lol. Crysis is like lightyears ahead lol). The vegatation seems to be more dynamic as well. I guess its personal preference since I like how the plants move in farcry2 compared to Crysis.

The X360 versions of BIA: HH landslide over the PS3 version from both I've seen, the PS3 version has issues with Unreal Engine 3 so I'm not surprised.
Dead Space seems to be a little brighter on the X360 whilst it has better anti aliasing and sharper textures.
As for Fartcry2 I'm playing the ***** and it is ****ing amazing, visuals are awesome! I love the flame thrower.

While they are nice, I dislike judging games from pictures off of a TV.
I'm a photographer, and am know quite a bit about home theater lighting and photographic lighting, not to mention technique and the science behind both fields. And I just don't think you can accurately capture how it really looks.
Often times the images "seem" to look better than they really are, or sometimes they look slightly worse. I can sit there with a properly lit home theater set up, and proper cameras pointed at the game visual, with all manual light sensors and painfully long tests to make sure its as accurate as possible, and it still feels manipulated by the time you see it.
On these images you can clearly see that happening. Not saying it makes them to look better, some of them look worse than they probably are. But some definitely have a manipulated look about them. Do not be confused by that statement, I do not mean photoshopped or intentional means, I refer to what I said above. It just can never be "perfect", so it usually leans one way or another.
I have played with it for years in various subjects. Video games just shows easier, you could make Oblivion look far better than it was, but it almost looked accurate and to the un-trained eye... people wouldn't have a clue.
