Indeed. I agree on both fronts. But..... the Photo Icon should be given out to people who are truly dedicated to the area.

It depends, how much money do you have? You're going to need a good lens, or two..... but at least a good all purpose lens. Plus at least some sort of protective UV filter, etc.

Those images are 100% natural. No camera filter, no digital filter, no color altering or touching up in any way what so ever. The reason they look like that is because they are like 35 second exposures. Believe me, they are completely natural.

Here are some Shots I took when i went to ADAC Rallye Germany in 2007.

Im a Huge Nikon fan, and its all use. We have 4 Nikon cameras, the one I used to take these was a Nikon Coolpix S3. Its a small handy camera, so i did what i could.

I'm sure you already know this, but with moving objects and a slow crappy shutter speed you have to move the camera along with the action to keep the subject in focus. Still nice photos, never used a nikon, i've heard good things ... but i'll stick to canon, their pc software supplied with the cameras are second to none.

Pretty much. I live in Vegas, and in a casino (Bellagio) they have an amazing garden. And that is like some kind of 'mill' wheel that's turned by the water.

Thanks, im an amateur right now, but i plan on heading back to college next semester. I want a degree in graphic design with a minor of photography. I have always loved taking pictures, and tried a few careers out. I just want to take pictures the rest of my life. I love being able to capture beauty, or other emotions and have the person looking at the photo thinking along the same lines i was when i decided it was worth it to snap the shutter....
