when is jk bringing out the final book?
it best had be good..
being honest i think it should take place around 10 years after the half blood prince, it would be great following harry when he is grown up and that so we all get to know the "real him" kinda thing or what he has "grown up to be"
and it would make a much more epic end to the series
well thats what i think anyway

I was a fan, but now the series is getting a little dull for me. I thought it really sucked that Dumbledor had to die. I hate the movies though. I haven't even bothered to see the latest one.

Not a fan of the books but they are good books. Read all six. Except of the last chapter of book six because it was 7 AM (started readin the book at around 12 AM), and I got too sleepy. And my sister had to return the book to her friend the same day I went to sleep.
So yeah, I just missed [spoiler:972f6add51]Dumbledore's wake.[/spoiler:972f6add51] ^^^^ For the people that haven't read the end of the last book."This life is not real. I conquered the world and it did not bring me satisfaction." -Muhammad Ali

Jman I think you should have put a spoiled there in case anyone is still reading the book. I loved the Harry Potter books. Those books were the only reason I read book.

I'm big fan also. I only read Half-Prince and Order of the phoenix. Still haven't read the first three book, but I saw the movies. I have good idea what the first three book is about.

I'm a die-hard Harry Potter fan, and I have read the longest one (Order of the Phoenix, 870 or 766 pages depending on whether it's the US or UK edition) going on four times now. I'll be college-bound relatively soon and I'm not ashamed of enjoying the books.
The movies are okay, not great, but I still like them a lot. Out of the four so far my favourite is Prisoner of Azkaban (the third one).*WARNING* The above was typed by a shameless Metal Gear Solid fanboy!

04-26-2006 #19I finished it about 12 hours after it was out... got it at about 12:10, and just sorta skipped sleeping that night.. :/ did the same thing with the fifth book too... but the sixth book wasn't worth losing sleep to read.I also finished the sixth book 30 hours after it was released, including a short bit of sleep.

Wow.
I'm a bit of a slow reader, but at a decent pace I can usually go through a book in three days.
EDIT: I should also say that I didn't get the book until about 9:00 AM.
Yeah, The Half-Blood Prince wasn't what I had expected, especially with Jo saying how pleased she was with it. I'm rooting for book seven now!
My favourite one has got to be PoA, with GoF and OotP right behind it, how 'bout you?*WARNING* The above was typed by a shameless Metal Gear Solid fanboy!

04-26-2006 #23I can definitely see where you're coming from there, it is remarkably well-written.

Things that won't happen in the 7th book
The title of the book will not be "Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat."
There will be no character named "Icicle," and JK said that she didn't recall saying there ever would be.
Dumbledore is not Harry's relative.
Harry is not related to Voldemort and he is not related to Salazar Slytherin.
Lily Potter is not alive.
Lily was not a Death Eater.
No prequel books are planned (no books before Harry's time at Hogwarts).
Crookshanks is not an Animagus.
Neville is not the son of Peter Pettigrew.
Remus Lupin does not have a twin brother.

I can not wait till the seventh one comes out. I hope we want have to wait to long. That is funny about that it might be released on 07/07/07. The first books for me didn't seem as good as the later ones did.
My favorite would have to be the Half blood prince or the ootp. All of them were very good books to say the least but i just can not wait for it to come out. I believe that there is lots of fan fiction for anyone who wants to read harry potter.
