Someone set me Straight.. I'm thinking Xbox!?

I was watching Game 5 of the World Series last night, along with some hockey, when a Fable 2 commercial comes on. My thought was, I wish that was on PS3, and that was it.

So today I'm driving to work and I start to think that maybe I should just buy a 360 and Fable 2... it would only cost like 250 bucks. Am I losing my mind here? I feel like I'm cheating on my wife or something. Someone give me a smack to get these thoughts out of mind.

I could see some of you saying just go buy one then, which I would understand as well. Anyway, should I just go get one or what. I really don't want to be "that guy" that has been PS all his life, and then sell out to crappy Microsoft, but I'm just dying for more RPGs.

Mmmm.. If there's games on there that you want to play, and you can afford it, then why not go for it? It's what I did, I haven't looked back yet

I've only clocked about an hour into Fable 2 and it's great so far, but shouldn't this thread be in the 360 section?

You will be happy with your purchase and now that the 360 is relatively cheap... you may as well. I've owned a 360 and PS3 since their launches. I use my 360 way more than the PS3 simply because 360 has such a wealth of games. And some of these games, like Fable II, should not be missed out on just because you're stubborn and refuse to go Xbox.

Make the purchase. You won't regret it.

I considered that. lol But I figure since I have a PS3 I would put it here. Plus I think I want ppl to convinve me NOT to get an XBox, which wouldn't happen over there.

I had the exact same thought but then changed my mind, know why? Its the only game I'd get a 360 for - Gears doesnt interest me at all nor do any of the other games. I never buy a system for 1 game only - if it were $100 then maybe but until they sort that failure rate out and get a few more games I'm not buying it just for that.

And how long does one game last? Depends how much you play really - fact is all my anticipated games are on PS3 and when White Knight comes out - that will be long and fun - because it is basically Fable 2 BUT MORE - as well as being a JRPG. If you have money though - do as Cronk just said. But IMO - I wouldnt simply because there are more games for ME on PS3 compared to one on 360 - not enough for me.

Ya.. I'd ignore that brand loyalty and fanboyism crap, it's absolute garbage! If you know there's games on there you want, and you'll enjoy playing on the system then that's really all that matters. If you can afford it, I think you should go for it.

A lot of people on here will try and persuade you out of it though, talking about RROD and such, but they've had the new Falcon boards in 360s for ages now, so it's pretty much a thing of the past.

My advise to you is to look into the catalog and see what games appeal to you. If there is a wealth of games there that you are interested in then go for it. If not it might be wiser to stay away. However, as others have said, if you have the money and can afford both...then go ahead.

I have both systems and play my PS3 more as the PS3 has more exclusive games that appeal to me. I still play my 360 when there is an exclusive game that I like and want to play or a multi-platform game that is war better on the 360 but other than that...the wealth of my gaming resides on the PS3. Its just a more loveable system that begs to be turned on each day.

I quickly looked into the RPG library and the only 2 that appealed to me were Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey. But for 3 games it might be worth it I guess.

I bought my PS3 solely for MGS4... :P And I got more than I planned.

fable 2 isn't even that good... never liked fable 1 though either, too many promises that they feel short on, for a game that just feels midiocer

Go ahead and buy a 360, but don't trick yourself into thinking you can buy an arcade and a game and you'll be set. Buy a real 360 if you're going to get one.

Just because it's a PS3 forum, it doesn't mean that we are all completely anti-Xbox360. I do suggest, however, to find more games or features that you like on the console first before investing in it.

To be honest, I'm considering getting one, not really for the games, but for the media extender, online, and video capabilities.

Here's how I look at it.

If one game can change your mind like that then you must have some money to spend. You are an impulse buyer or at least you have the thoughts of one lol. If you're afraid that you might miss out some games on the PS3 (which is why I'm assuming you made this thread) then worry not, I'm sure you will have enough money to buy the PS3 at that moment.

i have a PS3... its never had any problems (its a UK first day launch model)
i have a 360... well until ysterday that was. My halo themed 360 broke on me yesterday with one blinking red light, (hardware failure) it was my fourth 360 in the space of 1 year and 4 months.

today i rang customer support (it broke very late at night) and they said my three year warranty only covers 3 red lights (hardware failure aswell... I KNOW!) and since im 26 days past my initial year warranty im ROYALLY SCREWED

what im trying to say is, you say to yourself its only 250... then you have to buy a HDD then a Live subscription (which i just realised im still paying for with no xbox to use it) and then after a year it brakes and you have to pay another 250!

ive had enough, seriously dont even feel tempted its PS3 all the way

abd btw NO! im not just a raving fanboy, ive had 4 broke... 4!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend had about 11 of them break on him he has made the full switch to ps3 now but some people feel the reward outweighs the risk plus with the extended rrod warranty all you have to do to get a fixed 360 is put a towel around it and it will break like that so you wont have to go out and buy another system

If you can handle the controller, I guess it wouldn't be bad. For me, I cant stand it so I would never play it. Its a major factor in why I never play the Wii.

I'd much rather use the 360 controller instead of the PS3 controller. The concave triggers and analog sticks just feel more natural to me.

What games worth playing does it have that ps3 does not? I have 30 games for ps3 more games then I have ever had for any system.
