What's a dolphin

I'm really confused off of this review http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/review/R7929.html. He said something about "the dolphin will kick it's arse."? I havn't cared for games for that long so I would obviously not know what this is.

It said I reached the page as an error. Seeing as that is gamefaqs in which they have members do reviews and walkthroughs of games I can only assume your talking about the game Ecco the Dolphin. But Gamecube was originally codenamed project Dolphin.

First off, whoever wrote that review is a complete moron, that doesnt know jack about gaming. Second that review was written a long time ago when everyone thought the Gamecube was going to be called the Dolphin...when infact that was just the codename of it.

Yah, I know, I just like to look at reviews that give stuff 1/10s, especialy really good systems like the psx. It's just good for a laugh, because most of them are just a bunch of flames in very little paragraphs.

and by the looks of things he didn’t know that PSX was just the PS's codename as well, no biggy though, its more important now so u don’t get yourself confused with the PS and the PSX.
and most of the people in the gamefaq's community thing are fanboys

Kynogon Joins PlayStation 3

Kynogon has announced Kynapse support for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s Tools & Middleware program for the PlayStation 3.

The SCEI's Tools & Middleware program is a large group of licensed tools for developers to use when making games for the PS3.The Kynapse functionalities and tools will allow Game developers for PlayStation 3 to create NPC's with advanced behavior.

"Kynapse 4.0, which will support the PlayStation 3, introduces technology called "Large scale A.I." The new technology is meant to address specific AI needs, such as existing algorithms limitations when dealing with large, detailed, terrains and huge numbers of NPCs; handling megabytes of AI data at runtime; getting NPCs to understand their environment topographically, and how to take advantage of the PS3 architecture.

The Kynapse 4.0 A.I. data will include both 3D mesh and graph based descriptions, and its hierarchical structure will allow streaming and parallel computations. 3D pathfinding and perception algorithms have also been adapted to fit the new data model."

Just another great program that Sony and its developers will utilze to bring us innovative and technologicaly advanced games.
