Official "Should I get a 360" thread.

Hey I was wondering if I should get a 360. To be honest, I dont really know that much good games for it (if I do get it I'll get GOW2 and maybe Halo) so could you tell me some good games for it and is it worth the 200 bucks?

If you play games online like CoD, the 360 is the better console for that. You have Fable 2, Left 4 Dead and there are a few more. It all depends on what you play. I would get a 360 as it is a very good console.

If you like RPG's then you could get Mass Effect And Fable 2. They are pretty good games. If you really don't see anything that is exclusive to the 360 that you want then I wouldn't waste your money.

You should never ask if you should buy something. if you like what the console has to offer then get one and if you're not sure do the research. Never ask anyone though. I think if you have the extra money and you like enough of the games to warrant buying it then you should.

If you only are interested in two games then Id say don't buy it. Seems like a waste for only two games.

Been playing some 360 at a friends recently, since he wanted to clock gears 2 on co-op, and I really like the system. The controller, the interface, ONLINE, its really well done.

Dont get me wrong, PS3 is my number one console, but the 360 is really starting to intrigue me. Games like Halo, Gears, Mass Effect, and the fact that I really do want the best of both worlds. Just wondering if my money would be worth it.

I was in your situation not too long ago. I was also a loyal fan to Sony and never steered away towards any other console. But after the price of the arcade dropped I couldn't resist any longer. I still play my PS3 more and like it better, but now I can also enjoy the titles that are exclusive to the 360. Mass Effect, Fable II, And Gears alone are worth the price of the arcade IMO. If you really desire the best of both worlds, go for it.

Considering the price of the system now, the awesome games out for it, and the now receding RROD activity, I would most certainly say give it a go.

Halo 3 is the on i play the most online, i play at a game store called gameplay plus it has online gaming with 360s and lcd toshiba t.v.s lined againt the wall. i would play online but, i don't have highspeed. it is worth it and they just updated there software and you can play netflix and everything on it.

ah even 256Kbit older ADSL/cable is enough for XBLIVE, even if you live at south east asia, then they go online by using 3G modem with the speed of only 2x-dialup, it is enough for them.

Well i was a long time sony fan also untill i figured out all my friends have 360 and the friends i made on ps2 that moved to ps3 with me i talked them into getting one for christmas overall i like it better then the ps3 now other then the fact there is no internet browser and i have to pay.

Thanks everyone. I did a lot of research and looked up mostly all Xbox360 exclusives and figured out that I'd buy a LOT of them (like Fable II, Mass Effect, Halo, Gears and many more) plus the games on live look great. So I'll probably get it this March when it's my birthday . But I have one more question: What's the difference between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Arcade?

i have had a PS3 since launch of 06 but i got got the 60 gig back in sept
because i was bored with it not many frist party games

Word of advice, do not the Xbox 360 Arcade. It looks good on paper, but it sucks compared to the Xbox 360 pro.

The Arcade, apparantly, doesnt get a headset, network cable, hard drive, a HD AV cable (can be used on non-HD TVs.. so thats just awesome).

So, really - if that is true then the pro is the best deal for your buck.

NOTE: Above poster beat me to it. But xbox 360s are indeed worth it.

Only game thats worth it is gow2 and cod4 or 5, which ps3 also has. Reason I got it was most of my friends have xbox. Gow2 is pretty sick though. In the end its up to you if its worth it or not.

I was in target to day dec.1 and i was looking at the 360 games.
and a guy wanted a 360 for his son. so he asked the worker.
how is the 199 360.. and do you need any thing more..
the kid said it comes with every thing...so i said it dont come with every thing..
no hard drive no head set no high def cables..
then i told the guy that the 60 gig hard drive is 100 more dollars
and it was cheaper to just get the 60 gig with 2 games and he did
