just thought id mention that apparently nvidia are going to show off their next gen graphics card, and what all their next gen line of graphics cards will be based, the NV40 this upcoming week
so will they disappoint again or will they impress, only time will tell but i just hope that they give some tech demo's. this is all kinda important because from it we will be able to judge alot better what kind of graphical power the ps3 will have. of course its unlikely we will see any characters on the ps3 in a long while that are any more detailed then dusk but the tech demo's we get for this card will help us predict what the ps3 will be able to do in real time

ooooooo i found some NV40 video's thats meant for the developers that missed the video's at GDC 2004
http://developer.nvidia.com/object/s...40_Video_Clips
remember that these are aimed at developers and not the public
so we should still some time get some more tech demo's
also for reasons stated on the website those vids are bad quality, hopefully they will sort it all out next week

[News Article] Sony Acquires Zipper Interactive
Well, the looks of it show that the Socom U.S. Nave Seals series is coming home for good! SCEA, today has announced that they have acquired Zipper Interactive. Who is the creators of the hit game Socom U.S. Navy Seals. Being the mainstream game for Sony's Network Adapter, and also creating interest with the USB Headset.
Although it wasn't a huge surprise because Socom was already a exclusive game for the last generation, and it also looked like it was going to continue like that. The studio will still be known as Zipper Interactive but will work closely with SCE Worldwide Studios, and SCE WWS Foster City Studios.
"Zipper Interactive is one of the most well-known and respected development teams in the industry and we have enjoyed a great working relationship with the company since July 1999" Reiterating what Phil Harrison of SCE Worldwide Studios gave on the subject. Also stating that, "Zipper's tremendous achievements and expertise in creating top-selling games with fantastically loyal online communities is a great addition to our development organization. We are delighted that Zipper Interactive is now a core member of the SCE Worldwide Studios network."
The terms were not openly stated, for Sony's new studio, although with this new acquirement more of Socom's multi-player games should flow through with ease.
