One of our faithful readers, Eulogy 33, came across a few juicy bits of info on the TooHuman.net forums. According to our intrepid community member, one of the TooHuman.net forum goers was lucky enough to get a guided tour of the Silicon Knights offices. During that tour, the forum member was privy to pretty sweet info for Too Human fans.
Read it and weep haters, after the jump!
Well, the story goes, that the unnamed person, after visiting the Silicon Knights studio, posted his findings on the TooHuman.net forums. As this info violated the person’s NDA, a loyal TooHuman.net mod quickly deleted the thread. Before deletion, Eulogy 33 was able to get the following info:
1. He saw some work being done on a character model that he believed to be Loki and some level design.
2. They (SK) were quick to state that they are going ahead with the planned trilogy.
3. DLC is being discussed. Without context though its hard to say if this means discussing if DLC will be put out for TH or just what kind of DLC it will be if they do.
Well, that’s it. Chew on those meager scraps, Too Human fans. As a lover of all things Too Human, I’ve got to say that I’m jonesing for some DLC. Maybe another level or even challenge rooms or perhaps new weapons and armor? How bout all three?
this game is underrated, glad they still willing to make the sequel

A lot of elements in the first were good, but the majority sucked. I quite liked what little story there was too. Hopefully they ditch the control scheme for the next one.

Maybe they can actually make a good game this time around.

If they were to fix the many issues with the first one they would have a very solid game. Although Too Human did have many flaws IMO I still purchased the game and enjoyed it thoroughly. The ability to play it online co-op with a friend is what really made me enjoy it as much as I did.

They should consider designing a new main character, as the current choice is rather generic.

I thought this was a trilogy for years, so this isn't very surprising?

*10 years later* "YES!! TOO HUMAN 2!! IT LOOKS SO..... wait. is this what we've been waiting for all this time? What were they thinking, the animations are terrible, the graphics are bad, and the frame rate is terrible. Not too mention the game play lacks any real depth and the storyline is mediocre at best."
Sorry I had to do. That's pretty much exactly what happened with the first one.

I liked parts of the game but ended up hating some of the choices they made when designing the game, if they can work out the rough spots and use common sense( nobody wants to watch a prolonged death cut scene that you cant skip) this time i might be interested.

There's no surprise as there should be a second and a third coming... It's a trilogy!

But I guess the rumor of it is that it's currently in development.

are we playing the same game ?
i think the animation are fine,
you have to remember Too human don't have loading screens, so they silently download level when cut scene are previewed, and the framerate where they doing this is not too good, but when we actually playing it (after cut scene) everything is smooth and fine.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No, it wasn't a turd. It had it's problems but the game is actually good fun to play. Definitely room for improvement but I have played many worse games this gen without any shadow of a doubt.
While this game was always set to be a trilogy they received so much negative press and the game was so slated that there was speculation the two remaining games would be cancelled - after all, why make something you can't sell. I'm pleased to see there will be a sequel. I have no preconceptions about what it will be like. I just hope they take the opportunity to address the shortcomings in the original and make it a much better experience for a wider gaming audience.

For me Too Human was a lot of fun to play. My only gripe was with the items, I woud get an epic weapon or armour but then a minute later would get a better one then a better one. Wish the epic items would drop so frequently so it would be special.

I just can't understand how anyone had fun with this game, I was looking forward to it, and it disappointed me big time, not even worth a rent IMO, I want a next gen Eternal Darkness.

That's what makes no sense. Do they publish another Too Human that will face just ridiculous scrutiny and be an exclusive that in all honesty MS might want to distance themselves from in case the next one gets reviewed harshly? A game that that has such a negative and even mocking vibe from the community? Will MS really want to pay them for exclusive rights for a game that got so slagged?
Or do you release a multi plat game like Eternal Darkness that averaged a 90 and you can sell on the PS3 and 360, and probably get better reviews and more positive press? The last thing they need to do is risk another Too Human right now. Silicon Knights need to move beyond Too Human and focus on something else. Of course the guy could totally redeem himself if he releases a killer next installment. But I have my doubts, and the press is ready to pounce at any shortcomings Too Human 2 could have. Not worth it IMO.

As long as the developers learn from their mistakes and make positive changes, the game should be good.
Oh, and our good friend Dennis Dyack should have his mouth gaffer taped shut 2 months before launch.
