Checked EBGAMES in Radnor, PA. No dice. They said that it should be release soon but it won't happen until tomorrow. Pre-order maybe as high as $100. I'll check other stores and report back.

Just called my Gamestop in Kennesaw, Georgia. Said they don't plan on taking preorders for "maybe even a couple months." Said they wanted to be cautious with the numbers they get.

EB in NJ says not yet.

Hideuos - for FYE you have someone you can call about how they will allocate the 20gig and 60gig PS3's depending on place in line?

I called a couple of Gamestops and Ebgames in Providence,Rhode Island area and they said they will get an email to start taking preorders

They said they should get this email this week or next week at the latest

I talked to GAME uk and told them tht the price and release date had been announed (yes I told THEM :P ). they said they would start pre-orders in 2-3 weeks roughly

EB in Swapscott Mass. said to keep calling and that by the end of E3 they would pobably have started pre-orders.

Gamestop here in Texas said to check back every day since Sony was releasing new stuff, but that they could start anytime.

Did any of you that pre-ordered yours have to say specify if you wanted the 20GB or 60GB?

i called into ebgames today, they said that the stores should have their numbers in by tomorrow which will allow them to start preorders, and the website should be going up for pre orders very soon.

I was fortunate enough to get my pre-order taken care of earlier this evening. Anyways, here are the details:

- Funcoland (Gamestop subsidiery)

- Montgomery Village-F
9667 Lost Knife Road
Gaithersburg MD, 20879 US
(301)212-9884

- $50 deposit for the $600 SKU

- According to the clerk, I would be "1 of 20 people to own a PS3" at that particular Gamespot.

Edit: I don't have a pre-order just yet. I explained the situation later on in the thread.

In NJ I called the local FuncoLand and EB Games and both said no pre-preorders yet.

Talked to my local EBgames in Boone,NC
They said that they weren't going to take preorders till after E3 and that
preorders will only be open for a single day and then would be closed.

Just called a semi-local gamecrazy, about 45 minutes away, they are indeed taking reservations, in Waterloo, IA. Probably gonna have to wait until tomorrow. Stupid work, making me do crazy stuff like sleep.

I called two Gamecrazy stores in Rhode Island and they said preorders not yet started they are still awaiting official notice...

Gamecrazy is loacted in or next to a Hollywood Video store

The gamestops and ebgames here in Houston are saying two things.

Gamestop: "We don't have a SKU yet, but as soon as we do we will start taking preorders."

EB Games: "We have SKU's and prices. Our District Manager brought them to us today, but we can't start taking preorders because the DM said that we have to wait for our allocation, or the number of units we will get at launch. The DM said they want to avoid all craziness that happened last year with the 360 launch and it will only be worse this time. So until we know how many units we are going to get at launch we aren't going to start taking preorders."

So........I think I am going to just keep bugging Gamestop because they said they dont have to wait for allocation, which is weird because Gamestop and EBgames just merged....

I heard Eplay started taking pre-orders ages ago (it was on the forums a while back). £20 deposit. but i guess if you want one at launch it is now useless :P i have signed up to GAME's newsletter as soon as i get a confirmed date for pre-orders i'll let the forums know

Eb Games in Australia, I've been putting money down weekly for awhile now, currently have $250... will keep putting money down so it doesn't seem like massive expensiveness when the time comes.
