If Resident Evil 5 Outsells Killzone 2 what will you do? (partial ranting)

Now ive been hyped for both these games for a while now (Killzone moreso) BUT something troubles me people are reporting reviewers nitpicking at Killzones epicness its only drawback being its story (supposedly) and with OPMs review of killzone and resident evil being the same (5/5) what im asking is if killzone is to sell less the obviously inferior resident evil what will you do? i personally will go out and sacrifice a casual gamer (JOKES) cause it proves that casual gamers pick brand>quality and that may ruin a games ability to flourish and expand into sequels

Overall (360+ps3), Re 5 will outsell Killzone 2 for sure. As for Ps3 only, hmmm.. the issue is Japan, they are not gonna buy Killzone2 in droves but they are pretty hyped about Re 5. As for the other regions, Killzone 2 can outsell RE 5 without too much trouble I think

Well, I wouldn't call people who buy RE 5 casual gamers ^^ Plus, if there is a threat to 'real' gamers, it sure doesn't originate from games like Re 5....

Unless you mean Devs will stop caring about big budget games and start creating a whole bunch of shovelware for the ''Casuals''... But even if this is what you mean... I hardly consider RE5 shovelware.

What will I do? Obviously it would be the end of the world, so I probably would just kill myself.

I will buy Killzone 2, play it, enjoy it, then if I get used to the demo a bit more, I may go pick up RE5 and play it. Who cares about who outsells the other? They are both going to make a ****load of money, and they both appeal to me. That's all that matters to moi.

I would... congratulate Capcom? What a lame question. Who cares? Who says Killzone 2 is made for "hardcore" (whatever that even means) gamers? It looks like another generic first person shooter aimed at the HUGE Call of Duty fanbase to me.

Besides, the awkward controls of RE5 don't appeal to the masses.

Also, what's the difference between "hardcore" and "casual" gamers? More time spent sitting on an ever widening ***?

no i mean look at it this way resident evil great series but completely changed to be more accessible to new gamers (ie the story not abt zombies) and further more if it sells more on the ps3 (sry to not put in title) it shows that an established brand which may or may not be ruined beats a most likely and very possible gem of a game like if i asked everyone on this forum about their opinion im sure majority would be pro killzone but if i stopped a random on the street theyd most likely say resident evil because its an established franchise and with growing dev costs forcing companies to accommodate for this demographic it may ruin a game real glory (im sry ppl just mad at RE 5 demo big letdown)

If Killzone happens to be as good as everyone says it is, there should be no worries. Sequels will come.

Sales don't determine a games quality. So even though I would rather Killzone 2 outsell RE5, if it doesn't I won't be in an uprising.
