Thanks. The design looked 60's-70's and it turns out the project was attempted at that time.

I would be bit afraid to enter some of these houses because they look like they are hanging at an angle or just about to collaspe.

Right after Bushnell's Basin, before the Eastview Mall on that main road (not sure exactly road name, the one that 490 gets off if you want to go to the Mall), it's one of the side roads if not mistaken)....

It's just outside of Powder Mills Park on Park Road.

Ah, good ole Rochester, I am actually craving a garbage plate right now, haha.

How big is it? The photo doesn't give a good indication.

    Wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waldspirale

It contains 105 apartments, a parking garage, a kiosk as well as a café and a bar (the last two being located at the top of the spiral). The inner courtyard contains a playground for the children of the residents and a small artificial lake. Peculiarities of the U-shaped building are the unique facade, which does not follow a regular grid organization, and the windows, which appear as if they were "aus der Reihe tanzen," (dancing out of line) [1] everywhere different and appearing out of order, often with 'tree tenants' - trees growing out from the windows. The diagonal roof, planted with grass, shrubs, flowers and trees, rises like a ramp along the U-form. At its highest point, the building has 12 floors.
    This is the whole house:

Ok, my god that is huge. The original photo didn't give the indication it was even close to that size.

Yeah, that original photo was quite rubbish really..

It is huge and some people say far too huge for the area. Like on the original photo you posted you can see just how close it is to other houses.

A friend of mine actually has a flat in there and as much as I think it's pretty, I wouldn't choose to live there.
