We have been getting our fair share of trolls recently on the forum.

DO NOT FEED THEM!

Do not reply to their posts. If you feel the need to take action, just send a PM to the moderators reporting their post.

All repling to them does is feed them and keep their moronic posts at the top of the list for all the world to see. It also makes it harder for us to clean up, as we have to delete all of your replies as well as their post.

i think the only reason people replied to spam is that they didnt read the rules...or decided to ignor the rules....but now I think it'll get to 'em.(not excluding myself for one or two posts....i think

do we have a warning system on these forums? because there needs to be some kind of punishment for people being troll's or they will keep doing it. What about newbs that post really stupid topics? should we not respond to them as well?

Yah, we need a warning system that works like AIM's. Or maybe like something where a violater can plead his case.

A good example of a troll is 360theturnaround, he was a real asshole, sorry but we certanly dont need people like him on these forums.

For the miss informed, a troll is some one who wants to start an argument on purpose, and start flame wars ect. Me beeing a member here for a half a year have certanly learned alot about not replying to troll threads or posts.

Me being a member here for several days now I must say that I have learned quite a few things in these several days...I was a troll...but that was on EQOA forums...and my name was Trollapalooza...and that was because I was a troll in the game, i think that EQOA was a great game, but it got shitty reviews in mags...bastards...can I say that??? Sry if I can't...i should read the rules...haven't read them yet...sry...again

No, he just seems to start liking Xbox360 more than PS3 now. He just had a change in console.

As long as he doesn't trash or brag about any console. Then he's not one I guess.

No ones really done that. Yeah, we've had some new users that have but that's because they didn't read the rules and they were new.

And that's not what a troll means.

You were the first person to post it, and from the post/posts we could tell you posted it just for the humor, while the second time it was posted it was to cause a little bit of havoc in the forums. What I'm trying to say is that I think he was referring to the second person who posted it, not you...

Its just depends on Content delivery

eg:

PS3 is ghey, its its underpwered & isn't going to be useful for anything, apart from frying fat free hamburgers, XBOX PWNS!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

vs

IMHO I don't think the PS3 is as powerful as Sony say, its got good number crunching abilities, but its GPU looks underpowered. Its resemblance to a George forman grill also turns me off, I prefer the Xbox 360.

Those are pretty much the same statement, but one is Trolling, the other one is a valid opinion.
