Your Best Boss Battle EVER?!

Just reminiscing on my gaming past and came to the conclusion the most epic and unforgettable boss battle was MGS4 Liquid Ocelot vs Old Snake the music the atmosphere and overall direction was superb and definitely not one to forget

How bout u guys is there a boss battle (final or not) that holds a soft spot in your heart?

All three bosses from the first God of War.. the snake, the "bull like caracter" and of course the 3 part battle with Aires....

Nothing against the Bosses in GOW2 (wich I loved by the way) but the ones in GOW ware a lot larger and more epic (excluding of course the one with zeus himself). But I know that they meant it this way so that they could have more bosses but smaller battles..

ahhhhhhhh Is GOW3 here yet???

My most memorable battle? Liquid Ocelot and Old Snake.

Favorite battle? When my version of MGS4 glitched out and I killed Crying Wolf in one hit with a single RPG (not in beauty form)

I could list a lot of Final Fantasy fights here but I'll refrain from doing that

Anyway on the PS3 I'd have to say the end fight on Metal Gear is epic. I also loved the fight with Vamp, first time round and the battle against Crying Wolf was epic simply due to the homage it payed to the battle with Sniper Wolf in MGS1.

The boss Brute in Dead Space is pretty cool as well. I **** myself when he broke through the door, easy but still awesome.

Final fantasy 7 -> Sephiroth and all those darn omega weapons... Those battles were just plain epic for me.

Kingdom hearts 2 -> Sephiroth..

( smiles)...............................(wipes away a tear) oh memories......i actually miss the ps2 days, they were the best of all, well i would deffinetly have to go with.......the kingdom hearts 1 and 2 bosses, umm....probably the hades, and the titans battles were my fav for kh's games, and the esper battles in fnal fantasy XII were good, ( especially when they were accompanied to the boss music that goes " DA, da da DA, da da DA, DA, DA, da da DA, da da DA da" lol) ....lol really i could go on for ages about all the great boss battles ive had ( the majority of wich would be from kingdom hearts and ff lol) but i think wat really helps us create these fond memories of battles, is the gameplay, but of course, that leads off topic

I totally forgot about Ruby Weapon for FF7. Man that took a lot of time to build up for. Then everything had to work out perfectly to win. Ya that one is up there for me, mostly because of how much time I spent on it.

god of war bosses are awesome, but my most memorable one has to be then end from MGS3. it was just a battle of attrition. it took me about 45 mins to finally defeat him, but oh was it fun

All MGS1 boss battles, especially the introduction of the characters and the scene after you defeated them. And Psycho Mantis battle was genius , really genius.
MGS3 boss battles too. some drove you crazy like TheEnd and ThePain.

Devil May Cry 1 and Devil may Cry 3 Bosses too were awesome.
But the epic boss battles scenes I still have in memories are the final one from Kingdom hearts II and FFVII Sephiroth boss battle.

Gotta go with One boss battle from Past MGS

MGS1- Metal Gear Rex- I remember saying to myself "No they wouldnt let me take that on would they?"

MGS2- Solidus- A Sword Fight? Are you crazy? who didnt love that

MGS3- The Boss- Probably one of the most memorable fights I ever experienced on the PS2. Snake Eater playing in the Background set the mood perfect for that battle

MGS4- Old Snake vs Liquid Ocelot- Most memorable, Most Epic, and With a touch of Nostalgia make this my best boss battle. It was nice to see the different life bars from the previous MGS' and the soundtracks from those games as well as with Ocelot taking on different personas. The battle was also just like the final boss battle with Liquid on top of the destroyed REX from MGS1. A Masterpiece in itself!

Honorable Mentions

MGS4- Gekko and Vamp VS Raiden and Snake- Wow Finally Raiden proves to us why hes not a pansy and gets revenge for Otacon while Snake takes out Gekko after Gekko.

FFX- Jecht/Final Aeon- One of the more emotional fights from FFX. Tidus has to kill his father? WTF I felt for the kid finding out your not real then you have to go kill your Old man so that the world is in peace. And by the end of it you die to? Great Game, Great Bosses and I'll be playing this again sometime soon

MGS3 The End was an epic boss battle for me the first time I had ever gone up against him. Lasted an hour and I was only using my sniper to locate and take shots at him not even thinking about tracking him down creating this intense environment where even though I could not see him I was constantly aware of his presence and his desire to kill me. I've had many great boss battles but this is by far my most memorable.
