E3 2005 was the occasion to learn some a little more on the battery equipping the new Wireless levers with Xbox 360. Indeed, Microsoft intends to market two types of accessory making it possible to reload battery AA of the pads, namely: Play & Charges Kit and Refillable Battery Pack. The first consists of a cable connecting between its pad Wireless and its console thus making it possible to reload its battery while playing, very useful when your battery arrives at court of autonomy in full part. The second will include/understand a system of recharging for batteries connecting directly on a socket-outlet. Let us recall that the Wireless lever of Xbox 360 has a range of 10 meters and a 40 hour endurance.
EDIT:yes, in my eyes i see that is a good thing

Xbox 360 controller battery info

Are you bolding that to make it seem bad or good??? cause 10 meters comes out to 30 ft.. and who the heck is going to be playing a game 30 ft away from the console??? Much less play with the controller 40 hours straight... so with the ability to have 2 battery packs charging at the same time instead of 1 makes it alot better.

30 ft away? I think that would have to do with their HD Era or something. But the farther it's distance is, the better. It's a good move too.
So right in the middle of their game they could pause and just put it in. A spare battery."This life is not real. I conquered the world and it did not bring me satisfaction." -Muhammad Ali

Yep, you can swap batteries while playing. Or if you don't want to have to keep a spare battery around, you can wire up your controller for a few hours while you keep playing and charge the battery up.

30 ft away equals 10 meters... 3 ft per meter.. im sure everyone knows this.. atleast now they do. But the HD era has nothing to do with the range of the controller wireless has always been 30 ft range.. i have a controller right now for Xbox that can do 30 ft.. but it doesnt matter cause its current generation.

It's a good idea. It looks like MS have shown everything they got and Sony still have to do lots of stuff.

Actually, MS hasn't shown everything they have. There is still a ton of stuff about the system and dashboard that you have not seen yet.

Someone who went to E3 that i know commeneted that you can hook 360 up to your reciever and be watching TV and have popups for like invites and stuff come from Xbox Live... could you elaborate a little more about this Siren.. cause i want to know if you could just have it come up through any TV or do you have to have a cable/satelite box or w/e.

In order to watch TV on the Xbox you will have to have a Windows Media Center PC.
Otherwise, you can get the same effect with any media (even recorded TV shows you have on your PC) with the Xbox360.
Basically, when watching TV, listening to music, whatever. If someone sends you an IM, a game invite, anything, you will see a tiny popup appear and disappear over the screen. (note that users can disable this feature if they find it annoying)
Likewise, if you aren't even using your console and just watching TV the old fassion way, if you recieve a game invite or message you can have your console and/or controller notify you using the ring of light. Then you can just pick up your controller and press the Xenon button and have it power up the rest of the console and display on your TV.This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Thats a pretty cool design. Now i get what you were talking about when you said that the ring of light will play a bigger role in the system.
I am not bothered by the fact that I am unknown. I am bothered when I do not know others.

what would be a cool way to show that you have an invite or w/e is that your controller could vibrate when your console is not being used.. or something but im sure that would kill more battery life but doesnt matter. lights work fine.

What do you mean about the system? Specs? Features?

More features wise.
Also more details about the features they have already shown. Having played with the dashboard, I can say that it is significantly more feature rich than they have shown to date. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. I have one question; where are the USB ports on the system for charging up the controllers?

You seriously cant see the little oval looking object on the front of the console that hides the two ports???

Its at the bottom of the console it looks like a carved rounded square.. tell me you can see that.

I dont understand can you record tv with you xbox 360 without media center? In order to watch TV on the Xbox you will have to have a Windows Media Center PC.

06-07-2005 #17Yeah, of course I can see that, I just didn’t know that was a cover (I thought it was the thing that receives the signal...like a remote control and a TV. the TV usually has a place where the remotes signal go, so if you cover that part on the TV, the remote wont work because the TV wont get the signal...).

You see the battery charger piece up above.. it has 2 slots for batteries so im guessing there goes for your 2 controllers.... Plus there are these really cool things called Hubs i think thats what they are.. you can branch other usb products that have more then 1 port so its endless.
