Halo Wars

I recently rented this but am struggling with the tech. In a skirmish I don't appear to be able to build reactors when I'm playing more than one character, and when its 1vs1 I keep running into unit limits.

I dont' have the instruction manual cause they don't send them with the games. Can anyone help? So far the units and tech available is so limited I must be missing something.

Units are limited to about 40 - and you should play the tutorial (There is one in the game, isnt there? If not, go download the demo)

Explain further please, quite frankly I don't understand what you're trying to say.

That's not a problem with the game, you just have to re-think the way you structure your army. Or, failing that, you could always go into a UNSC Field Armory and research Reinforcements, or a Covenant Temple and research Followers. Both give you 10 extra unit limits.

yeah exyile - i'm just a little disappointed that even by expanding your base you can't increase your unit numbers dramatically. makes it quite small scale.

Small scale yes but it really forces you to be creative with how you build your army. Also depending on which character you use in lets say a skirmish match, go with their strongest abilities and special features for that specific character.

I like the small scale, at least in the demo. I used to play Warzone 2100 and once you had a large enough army, it just became a task to haul them around and obliterate the enemy. There was no strategy at all.

From the demo, I gather you have to be pretty creative and selective when building up.
