But apparently as I was watching the live commentary Hamilton has complained about Vettel being in his way on his fast lap so watch this space...........

Webber's luck just gets worse and worse. He did nothing wrong and drove a good race and was for sure on for a second place but had to retire the car due to an alternator problem.
It looked like he was fuming.

Grosjean, what a transformation. The last few races he has shown Kimi up, this race he started 17th and finished 3rd. He really is starting to become an asset to Lotus.

The smile on his face as he walked back into the paddock said it all really, such a shame and I would really like to see him win one more race before he retires. Maybe now they have both championships sewn up they might ask Vettel to move over (or Vettel will be nice enough to let him pass) so he can win one before the end of the season.

Grosjean has turned into a brilliant racer in the second half of the season, everyone knew he had the skill but he was just a little silly last year and because of that he had a timid start to the season. But now like you say he has really come out of his shell and is out racing Kimi, if he gets the car under him next year who knows how well he could do!

And fair play to Vettel, not a massive fan of the bloke but you can't deny he is a worthy champion as he drove a superb race, roll on 2014!

Agreed. It's not him as a person I dislike, he actually comes across relatively nice during interviews, but just how a great driver and a great car can dominate the sport so much. I don't think I ever will rate him above Lewis or Alonso but there is no denying the guys talent. 4 consecutive WDCs is no small feat.

Roll on 2014. Ferrari have no excuse next year.

None of the teams do but with Ferrari having both Fernando and Kimi, two of the spors most consistent drivers, all Ferrari need to do is put out a competitive car and it's going to be easy for them

With two of the worlds most consistent drivers they HAVE to make the Ferrari competitive, Alonso and Riakonnen need to be fighting for the championship next year but it's not going to be easy as it's a completely new start for everyone!

Just heard on BBC news that Ross Brawn has confirmed he is leaving Mercedes at the end of the season. Wonder where he will go next. I read that he might be going to Honda to get them ready for re-entry into F1 with McLaren

It's official, full BBC story here:

    http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/24725406

The father in law and I where talking about him the other day and thought it would be great if Brawn came to McLaren, I know it states at the bottom of the report he won't be actually working for them but who would have thought it was an actual possibility lol!

Next year should mix things up, will be interesting to see who has produced the more reliable engine. I think Mercedes and anything with a Mercedes engine in next year will just have the edge. Renault are a good engine supplier so I don't think they will be too far behind but they may be the more unreliable of the 2. I'm not sure about Ferrari, not really seen or heard that much to do with what they are producing so not sure what to think about them!

Guy on Sky Sports was saying that Mercedes have the most developed engine, Renault aren't too far behind, but Ferrari are a fair bit behind compared to the Merc.

Would be nice to see a mock up of a 2014 car, just to see how bad it looks. :P

So I was just about right with what I said in the previous post then by the sounds of it!

I did see a mock up of the Ferrari on twitter a couple of days ago but can't find it now, I found this video on youtube that should give a basic idea of what a 2014 car may look like:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQDYjLeGd6Q

I have tried to search the net and find a decent picture but no luck so far, if I find anything over the course of the day I shall post it up!

As long as SOMETHING can stop Adrian Newey and his car (sorry, its not Vettel - good driver in vastly superior car) then roll on next year

Thanks to Final for the sick sig!

The fact that the exhaust has got to be mounted out the rear bodywork and not towards the floor means blown diffusers are now a thing of the past it could be anybody's game next year!

Looking forward to next year to see what everyone else can do with their cars. A lot of work is needed to challenge Red Bull.

Will be interesting to see what some of the teams who have had a head start will do, see if that extra time they have had in their pocket amounts to anything! Who's watching it this weekend then? Love Abu Dhabi especially when it transforms from dusk to night during the race!

So Brawn isn't leaving after all?
Niki Lauda has dismissed reports that Ross Brawn has decided to leave Mercedes at the end of the current season.Brawn's future at Mercedes has been in doubt since the hiring of Paddy Lowe from McLaren earlier this year and non-executive chairman Lauda admitted a few months back that he is trying to convince Brawn to stay with the team beyond this season.
However, BBC Sport claimed on Tuesday that 'Brawn and Mercedes have failed to reach an agreement on a role in which he would have been happy to stay at the team.
'Mercedes will now be run in tandem by their two executive directors, Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe, along with non-executive chairman Niki Lauda.'
Lauda, though, has dismissed the report, stressing that the situation will only be resolved at the end of the season.
"The speculation is total rubbish," told The Times. "The situation is absolutely clear.
"I spoke to Ross a while ago and we agreed that he will come back to me after the final race of the season in Brazil to tell me whether he wants to stay or go.
"I am trying everything I can to encourage and motivate him to stay. I am the one who asked him to stay.
"I want him to do it but it is not my decision, it is his decision. If he stays he will be team principal - nothing else - or he will retire."

I personally think he will go at the end of the season, he would love a different challenge by the sounds of it and helping Honda get back into F1 is just the thing he needs.

Also I have now found the mock up of next years Ferrari:

Can't be sure how accurate it is but they will probably resemble something like it.
