Get Resident Evil 3 and 4 (not sure if RE3 is on PS2 though, might be on PS1), God of War 1 and 2, and that's about it. 4 Good games, I'm absolutely certain 3 of them are on the PS2 except for RE3.

There's a ton of good suggestions here. I recently started playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up and am having a good time with it. Come to think of it I can also recommend Super Smash Bros. Brawl if you like fighters.

I never could finish European Assault, got rather difficult for me lol, I finished Vangard, Rising Sun and Frontline though, and COD 2 and 3.

Apart from Frontline, Vangard is my favourite MOH game

The Ratchet and Clank games, Ace Combat games, Champions, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Second Sight, Socom, Metal Slug Anthology, there are many. Just buy a couple from the used bin at gamestop every week until you've got a healthy backlog.
