Original Batman Movie & Harvey Dent

I just hooked up the old vhs player and popped in batman about an hour ago, and to my surprise, Harvey Dent is played by the Black Jedi in the original Star Wars Trilogy. Billy Dee Williams is the name of the actor. Needless to say, I was surprised. I haven't watched the original in a very long time.

And here is why he didn't end up playing Two Face.

Billy Dee Williams appears as Harvey Dent, who in the comics became Two-Face. Williams took the role with the expectation that he would be brought back to play Two-Face and reportedly had a contract clause added reserving the role for him. During casting for Batman Forever (1995) Warner Bros. decided they would prefer Tommy Lee Jones and bought out Williams' contract.

Ahh that makes sense. I was wondering why Tommy Lee Jones was Two Face.

    Yeah LMFAO.

I watched them films with a passion but not till it was on FilmFour did I realise Harvey was played by a black man. Which I was suprised about, however was cool.

Those movie actually do rock, they made my childhood in all honesty.

I still remember watching it for the first time and going, "Why is Harvey Dent played by a black guy?" Still the first two Batman movies were great, next two sucked *** and the Nolan ones rock.

Lando Calrissian isn't a Jedi. He's just a normal guy with some business savy.
An optimist thinks that this is the best of all possible worlds.
A pessimist fears this is so.

Yeah, you do. The original is one of the most epic series ever, not knowing every scene...is no good.

I have Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin all on DVD. Picked them up for $8 each.

I also watch the Batman (1970's) TV series each weekend off Foxtel.

Apparently the recent blu-ray releases are meant to be very impressive PQ wise and the sound is meant to be a big step up from the DVD counter parts.
