Did anyone actually like the third installment of Dino Crisis? I thought it was total crap. What was Capcom thinking?
Do we know who was responsible for the way Dino Crisis 3 turned out? Does anyone here know the history of development behind this title like we have for Resident Evil 4?
I would love to know why Capcom changed the series soo much.

Never played it. How did it differ from previous ones.
Some wise quote should go here, so here it is; "KFC is better than Mcdonalds"

Never played it, heard it was awful. First 2 on PS1 were brilliant.

It was pretty awful. The way it differed from the previous is by a lot. New characters - ignoring what happened at the end of Dino Crisis 2. They basically put dinosaurs in space! They were "mutant" dinosaurs. Your characters could use a jet pack which was also gay.
I rented the title for the Xbox and could not believe what they had done!

Basically just s*****d on the first 2 DC games. In a bad way.

Yeah! I want to know what made them want to change the series ENTIRELY. I mean, at least the change they did with RE4 was a successful one. I liked the first one better than the second because I found it more interesting and it wasn't as action oriented as the second. The second one was good as well though, making Dino Crisis more action wasn't as bad as making Resident Evil more action.
They basically killed the series by releasing DC3. Whoever tried that as their first game probably would think twice about picking up another Dino Crisis game.
The first two were brilliant and it would have made sense for Capcom to keep the series around.
This is mainly why I want to learn about the history of DC3, from development to release but I guess nobody really cared huh?

They should have just done a new series for the Xbox, make something original. It would have made more sense than to take an old series and make it a new experience because it is being put on a new console.
If that is the reason, I don't think it's a good one! They totally destroyed the series in my opinion.

The previous ones were great which is what makes me sad. I hope there is a Dino Crisis 4 but the more time passes by, the more I get the feeling that Capcom just doesn't care for Dino Crisis anymore.
I mean, they released DC3 and......that was it.

They'll bring it back in like 10 years time, like Bionic Commando.

I hope they don't take as long as they did to bring Bionic Commando back with Dino Crisis.
While I was looking up information on Dino Crisis 3 (before making this thread), I read that you can't play it on the 360. Isn't there a list of BC games by Microsoft that you can check?
Try the official site, it should have one.

The 2nd one was the best!
I still own my PS1 copy of that game! Regina was awesome.

I have the first and second. I liked both games but I liked the first better. The only thing I didn't like about DC2 was the points system that they included, that you had to buy weapons with.

I kind of liked that part of it. Either way it was a great series that should have a come back, but stick to it's roots. I actually liked the underwater parts in #2 as well.

Well none of the DC's were the same, DC1 was the best in my opinion
DC2 turn into an arcady like shoot em up, and 3 deflected to the Xbox and sucked, and cuz it was on the Xbox not that remember it lol
