Last book I read was all three Hellgate London books. they were good IMo, not expert books but good.. ending was pretty bad though.

That was a couple of weeks ago. Haven't read anything since. I'm not sure what too read anyways. I like sci-fi and Fantasy books, but they need some quality to them for me to like.

    Any recommendations?

Guys, fantasy is great (I finished reading The fourth volume of the Flewelling's nightrunner series a couple of weeks ago) but that really seems to be the only genre you are reading, gotta vary a bit

(except for Spider but man you really love this book, you've mentionned it quite a few times already )

    And at home I read:

Not without my sister - And have started to re-read the Demonata series by Darran Shan.

I should try reading House of Leaves again, couldn't get into it the first time. "The Road" was the last book I read, or rather listened to. I thought it was alright. It reminded me of "I am Legend" the book, not movie.

I am reading the second book of the Dark Tower series. Gunslinger was awesome. Hopefully this one will be just as good if not better.

just started Scar Night yesterday and almost through the 600 pages today. a great book. its pretty twisted. its like a gothic nightmare steam punk morbid fantasy, complete with morbid religion and Angels.

this is one of the best worlds i have seen created in a book. it really comes alive while you are reading it. there is this huge endless black abyss and this city of steel and iron is suspended above it by huge ancient chains. everything from the roads(more like big catwalks) and buildings/houses are all suspended over the abyss by chains.

it has some of the most imaginative battles i have read that would do well on the big screen.

this is the first Novel by the author. he actually worked on GTA before this.

If you like sorta silly stuff, A. Lee Martinez has done a few books now -- I think I just read #6. The first one was pretty mediocre, but still fun. The second was decent. By the third he'd really found his stride, and I think he's got a ton of potential. He reminds me a lot of early Pratchett.

Thank God for this thread. I've been meaning to start reading a new book for a few weeks, but I don't know what type. Are Stephen King's books as scary as they're known to be ?
