There's no confirmation that the patch addresses the career loss glitch/bug unfortunately.

Still waiting for the career glitch to get fixed before I continue on. Sucks cause I've been wanting to play Shift for weeks now.

Can anyone confirm what you need for the online badges for winning on every track? Does it have to be ranked? Or can you set up your own game? Also, if it does have to be ranked, is it easy to get put into a room with your friends anyway? So fed up of mastering Karussell and spinning opponents that I'm gonna try and get the online ones, and obviously would be easier with friends helping out.

It is free, I haven't got round to testing it, that GT academy trailer caught my attention.

How in the Lords name do you drift in this game?! I'm pretty decent at everything but drifting! I haven't completed any of them.

hmm....after seein all these bugs and issues i'm thinking twice about buying this game and waiting for GT5 to come out.....maybe i'll get MW2 instead...

Half-throttle.

If you go full you'll spin, not enough and you wont drift

If you're struggling to do the drift try afew different cars out.
I struggled with the Beamer to start with, got the RX7 and can usually win the event after my first drift session

I never use the brake neither, just the handbrake.

It's all about entry speed and throttle control, if you can manage those two things you don't really need to worry about handbrake.

When going through chicanes, rather than using brakes to control the turns just back off the accelerator breifly then get back on it. The weight shift helps you to change direction and is a lot easier to control than braking mid corner.

A Ferrari-themed download content pack for Need for Speed Shift will be released later this month, bringing many sought-after Ferraris and a new tier in career mode to Slightly Mad Studio’s popular first title. Even though this pack hasn’t been officially announced yet, the Major Nelson podcast spilled the beans a few days ago, revealing that ten Ferrari’s will be making their way into Shift, coming with new archivements and new events for the game’s career mode.
Need for Speed Shift Ferrari DLC Pack Car List (as mentioned in the leak)
- Ferrari FXX
- Ferrari F430
- Ferrari F50 GT
- Ferrari California
The pack is planned to be released later this month, keep in mind that this is leaked info for now and the information might change once an official announcement is there.
Back in December, Slightly Mad Studios released the first DLC pack for Shift, bringing five new cars to the title. The new pack will close the only major gap in the title’s lineup of manufacturers as Ferrari joins other high-profile brands such as Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Maserati in Need for Speed Shift.

I realize this is coming from an Xbox podcast, but you've got to assume if the DLC is coming to Xbox, it's got to come to the PS3.
