If Robert Rodriguez is going to be doing this then I am excited for this, I enjoyed the first and second Predator films and I think Rodriguez will give us a decent Predator film instead of that AVP ********...
20th Century Fox has already set a July 7, 2010 release date for Robert Rodriguez's Predators, which the studio promises to be "a bold new chapter in the Predator universe."
Rodriguez officially announced the project just yesterday, calling the project "a reboot of the 'Predator' series." Rodriguez previously wrote a Predator 3 that was then discarded because it was "too big."

New Predator Film...

Sweet, I loved the older Predator films, the AVP ones were pretty lame even though it sounded like a good idea at the time.
it'll be interesting to see who they pick to play the protagonist

Predator 2 sucked balls, the first one was amazing. It needs Arnold covered in mud he's awesome.

Don't know how they're going to pull this one off, but I've got my fingers crossed
The original Predator is one of my favourite action flicks..
The sequel wasn't anywhere near as good, but alright - and the AvP series I have enjoyed, but its a completely different direction.
Would like to see something more like the original but don't know who they'd get to fill Arnie's shoes.

Sweeeeeet!!! A reboot sounds really interesting. Is it going to be a sort of remake of the first, or a prequel? Hmmm...
Rodriguez has a pretty solid track record and he's not afraid to throw around gore either. This might just turn out good.
I wonder what his Predator 3 was like... "too big" sounded really cool, especially with Predators in mind.

Interesting. A complete reboot? Big shoes that Arnie has left behind.
Like someone said above, I wont what the setting is going to be.
July 2010 is pretty close, only 14 months.

Maybe they will go for a mix of the city and the jungle and set it in the country with forests and little communities

Hmmm. I'm not to sure about this. Like said, you don't tend to get old school action films anymore... they will end up putting too much story and character development in.
However Robert Rodriguez has done some good films. Planet terror was awesome! Sin City is just sublime.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1424381/ looks like it's simply called Predators. And slated for release for 2011.

Robert Rodriguez is one of my favorite directors.
Loved Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Sin City, Planet Terror, and i hope Machete gets completed someday.
So im willing to give him a chance on the Predator series.

This sounds awesome. The first Predator is one of my favorite movies and Robert Rodriguez has made some good flicks as well.
I'm interested to see how this turns out....

Predator 3 should be good, as long as its not like AVP2 where everything so dark and you cant even make out who's who.
