FFXI heading to PS3 [And new FFXIII/Versus XIII details]

Precious new info, i wanted FFXIII to have day and night locations but if Versus will have the feature then that's good enough it would match the dark theme of the game.

I think Agito could be the first double UMD game, unless they cut back on CGI and Sound.

Kinda pointless releasing FFXI on the PS3 if they have a new MMORPG in the works for the PS3'/360.

I'd be interested in trying FFXI on my PS3 is they made it free to play but I'm not bothered if it still has monthly fees as there are lots of new MMOs coming with no subs soon.

Why? I assure you. It wouldn't be fun. Most of the players are end game. And to level past 10 you NEED to party and communicate. Grinding in the game is annoying and very time consuming.

i love leveling in ffxi 5-11 rng *leveling sam subjob, theres a thing called level sync, it allows end game players to sync with low level and party with them whille still getting the same xp as they would that level. and they made it less time consuming with the kupofried ring*+100% xp, fields of valor *gain bonus xp from killing monsters*

Be interesting to see how XI fares on the PS3. I used to play it back in college on the PC, but it just became a pain waiting for parties so I somehow managed to pull myself away from it.

News on VsXIII sounds pretty cool, day and night towns should look pretty sweet. Glad focus is switching over to that now as well.

Read the posts above, FFXI isn't coming to the PS3. The article was just talking about the FFXI sound team working on something.

Before you start complaining that it isn't coming to the PS3 they are already making a new MMORPG for the PS3 and 360 so it would be pointless releasing FFXI.

Does anybody here think that Rapture will be confirmed as FFIV or FFXI-2?

The Final Fantasy Versus XIII team is tweaking the combat system and upper world map, the game will have day and night periods in the cities.

A lot of Final Fantasy Versus XIII developers have also worked on Final Fantasy VII for PS.

Throw in the fact that Versus is going to be more like the traditional FF games, has a guy as the lead character ( I'm not sexist! I'm a just girl who doesn't like it when women try to be men ) just reconfirms; Versus > > FFXIII.
