How are you guys enjoying Infamous?

My gripes are minor and are probably non issues with most folks:

*Can't skip cutscenes. Why oh why do game designers insist on forcing me to watch background stories?

Seriously? That's almost a deal breaker.

Even once you've beat the game? Do you still have to watch the cutscenes?

I'm embarrassed....I haven't bought it yet. I'm trying to decide if I want to spend $80 on it now or wait a week or two and get it when I make a trip over to the states and get it for $70(after tax and currency exchange).

I picked it up yesterday and am loving it so far, I just unlocked the second island and its great I can't get enough of it. The first boss drove me crazy though.

Anyways i havent got this yet and probably i wont have it any time soon(im broke)hopefully by the time i get some money it will be a "Greatest Hits" so it could be alot cheaper.

I'm about 70% done with my first playthrough (Good side), and I'm losing unhealthy amounts of sleep over this game. Gameplay is incredibly fun, superpowers are awesome, framerate and graphics hold up extremely well and the story + karma moments are made purely of win. Having zero load times also keeps everything highly polished.

My only [minor] complaint I have is that inFamous has the same quirk as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, where enemies have this incredible ability to shoot accurately at you from great distances. But unlike Uncharted, it's non-linear, so there's always the possibility of getting the jump on them by attacking from higher ground or sneaking from behind. Traveling on foot in enemy territory is as good as having a death wish.

In a nutshell, I'm really loving inFamous. Great job by the folks from Sucker Punch.

Its good, but it could have been better. Its a bit repetitive, and the Reapers attack you at pretty much every other block. Some times you just feel like running around. I feel pretty weak too right now, but I guess I can see why.

I do love the choices though. I like how he narrates the situations, then gives you your options. It just fits in so well.

I'm loving the demo and plan on picking up the game. I don't care for the trophies all that much, not only is there only 1 gold, but it's for something I hate being forced to do in games..

Side Missions clear up map areas and you either get very little reaper trouble in that area after it's been cleared up, or in most cases, no trouble at all. It's then an incentive to do side missions so you can just run around town exploring and collecting shards without having to get shot. Plus side missions offer good xp anyway so why not eh? lol

I suggest you pay attention to the stunt that's currently being listed when you press start. It's a pretty nice way to make you see how you can use your powers a little more efficiently and more fun ways to kills either individual or groups of enemies ^_^ It makes the battles in the game a little more fun when you're trying to stick them with a grenade while they're in the air.

I'm currently on Hero status and at full positive karma. Not sure about those playing the evil side, but to those who are currently doing the good side, here's my tip:

Spend your hard earned XP on maxing out the grenades. At max level, they do incredible damage AND bind anyone weak enough to get caught in the blast (one grenade is non-lethal, so no negative karma if you use them wisely). Since you get plenty of Take Down AND Capture XP (XP multiplier galore) with just one well placed grenade, your positive karma will shoot to the roof! They are also EXCELLENT for capturing Conduits - which gives better XP than just taking them down or killing them outright.

Thanks. I was upgrading in that manner as well, but I quickly found out that this particular ability proves the most useful when I'm facing many foes - even the tougher ones.
