Rousey used to fight at 145, so if Rousey really wanted to fight just to fight. Then she should would do a catch weight at 140. Nobody cares about the title, they just want to see them fight.
I don't understand why they don't do that. Especially if its this big of a deal to make weight at 135. Even if she did make the weight for the fight. Say she wins. Is she going to keep fighting at 135 or vacate the title and go back down to invicta. If it's that hard why would you go through hoops everytime you fight just t0 make weight.

Thats the problem. Cyborg would not stay at 135lbs. I bet they will end up doing a fight at 140

I didn't think so. There isn't any reason to subject yourself to that much torment just to hold a belt. They need to just do a catch weight fight. It's all about the dollars anyway so it shouldn't matter as long as they can both fight comfortably.

Cyborgs walking weight is around 170-175. Rousey walks at 150. HUGE difference bro. So she used to fight at 145, but she wasn't cutting weight by any significant amount. There won't be a catch weight fight. Cyborg can't make the cut. She never will. It'll always be an excuse of RR not doing a catch weight fight.

The title fight sort of sells it.

If Rousey loses, and retains the belt, it will be somewhat empty because she can only beat the dregs of whatever 135 has to offer.

What we are seeing, is basically a throwback to the early UFC. Yeah everyone trains all aspects of MMA, but Rousey is the only one with elite background in one (Judo and submissions) discipline, and everyone else is a Jill-of-All-trades or accomplished, but not quite so, in their respective field as Rousey is in hers.
