Lost Planet 2 demo coming 'soon,' features 4-player co-op
by Griffin McElroy { 8 hours ago }
If you were jealous that we got our greasy, unworthy hands on a 4-player co-op demo of Lost Planet 2 during our ransacking of E3 2009, you can now cool your jets -- according to producer Jun Takeuchi during an appearance on Famitsu's "Midnight Live 360," the same demo is coming to Xbox Live "soon." Actually, Takeuchi's exact words were, "soon, I guess," a sentiment that doesn't exactly fill us with optimism regarding the actual soon-ness of the demo's release.
Takeuchi showcased a number of new features during the Famitsu program, such as computer-controlled bots, custom weapon sets and character customization, which he explained can be done using items you unlock in tandem with certain achievements. We don't know whether any of these features will be present in the demo -- but if it's as similar to the E3 demo as Takeuchi says, it should be radical enough without them.

Looking forward to it. I'm actually just now getting around to playing the original Lost Planet, after having purchased it when it first came out. So many other games took precedence that I just sorta forgot about it. I'm finding it to be a very worthwhile game, even today it still impresses. As an aside, when does this game come out? I'll have to remember to put it on reserve.

Currently playing? Skyrim (360). White Knight Chronicles (PS3). Majoras Mask (Wii). Final Fanasy VII (PS2). Just completed? Final Fantasy VI.

Good news, can't wait to give this one a try as it looks very impressive...
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

This game looks really good. First one didn't interest me too much, but this looks to be 100x better.
No demo release details yet ?

The 4 player co-op is what could possibly make me buy this game. I am so glad though there is a demo so I can try it out.
I remember when I bought the first one I became so frustrated with it, I ended up selling it within roughly 48 hours. I just wasn't a fan of the whole collect heat orbs to stay alive all the time. It stopped me from going through the game at my own pace and exploring as well.
