I agree messaging is the "Holy Grail" but I personally find it very useful to see if my mates are playing a game before I kick the missus off the TV to join them

Given the internet has an always on internet connection I'm not sure what you mean by your last point...

I never thought of it that way. That would make the application a bit more useful for me than I initially thought.

And the internet connection - What I'm saying is that when you're on the road, you won't have internet, and if the application had messaging, that would be somewhat of an annoyance.

For instance, when my friend is over, he'll sometimes IM using his touch. However, when we leave the house, he'll have to switch over to his phone and text.

But this is something we're all used to dealing with by now, so it isn't that big a deal and something that may never be overcome.

I came across a similar app months ago, it's called "PS3 iTrophies".... it basically does the same thing as this one. But it also helps with trophies and links you directly to youtube videos if you need the help with a specific trophy, oh and it costs a dollar more. It currently has a 5 star rating as opposed to a 2 star rating for this one. But now that the creator of this app is here I might end up buying it

the cheapest iPhone is $100, so its not too much. I was lucky to have gotten mine for xmas 2007

Unfortunately my app got some pretty low score reviews on the US iTunes store as almost no one read the instructions it came with, conversely the same app has a 4 star rating on the UK iTunes store... I've added some stuff that means those instructions are no longer necessary so hopefully the review scores will increase
