What could we see with Live anywhere in the future? I'm excited about it. Imagine making your own Xbox 360 maps on a Vista PC and then sending those back to the console to play or even downloading them online to play in your game. The mobile phone brings new ideas also such as tweaking game elements and sending those back to the 360. Tweaking your Forza2 car on your lunch break for the race that night. What else could be done with this Live anywhere?

I was already thinking of a feature of connecting the PC with the Xbox 360. Good thing Microsoft takes a step towards it!
What about connecting to all your Live friends you made! You can all see them there, add them to msn etc etc. I don't know if this is already possible so??[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I would like to be able to use map editors on a PC and use the maps for 360 games.
I'd also like cell phones to work like Dreamcast's VMU's, where you can take your character with you (say, your Oblivion character) and level them up by playing little mini games or something.

One question:
Wouldnt it cost money to send data from your cell phone to PC/Xbox360?
Not through Bluetooth or USB(connecting the phone to the PC or console), but i mean "online", wouldnt you be paying for the "call", like you are paying when you send pictures and stuff like that?

Yes, I'd imagine they would have to strike a deal with cell phone carriers to allow your Live subscription to cover those charges.

The best thing they could do, is something like Neverwinter Nights Aurora toolset and Oblivion Construction Set. Better than having downloadable content is to be able to create your own content and share with people! This idea is just great and can be expanded to other genres other than RPG.
Imagine creating custom co-op missions/maps on a game like GRAW/Brothers in Arms/Rainbow Six! You could determine spawn points, enemy's AI behavior, objectives, etc. Maybe even do split paths, etc! This would be great!
What about custom scenarios for strategy games?
And why not even design your own track on Forza2?
The possibilities are huge! Not that I expect all of this to happen, since most of it never happened on the PC side, even though the potential has been there all around. But, hey, it would be cool!

I guess you're right. I should've changed the "never happened" part. It's just that so few titles have used it, even though the potential has always been there. What do you mean?? Everything you mentioned there is possible and has been done in the PC gaming world.

Live remote.
Use your mobile to start downloads on your 360 or PC. Just imagine if you could start a download before you set off from work/school. You could also use active download to queue a few down loads while you are away from your PC/360.
I have already mentioned these in the PS3 section:
Video chat between mobile and the 360/PC.
Video security - use your mobile to view your home using the 360 camera.-It’s just a game!-

I wanted to know if my PPC phone would support Live anywhere.
I have the older IMATE like this
I haven't had the need to update as I use this for all my organizing on the road, MP3 on my SD card etc...

I think that the best thing that Microsoft can do with live anywhere is if they can have
a feature in which halo 3 xbox 360 players can play halo 2 players on the pc.

Yes it will.

No problem, once that download is done on your 360. You can access it an play it on your PPC phone on the way to work. At same time checking your friendlist or the status of your other downloads.
Now depending on your job and if you have access to a PC at work which most likely will have Vista. Your passport follows you where ever you go as well as the game you downloaded from the 360. One download across all platforms(PC,360,Cellphone,PDA).

True, but I don't see these informal mods making their way to consoles. I think devs need to embrace the concept with friendly officials tools, like Oblivion and NWN did. The result will be a bit more constrained, since official tools won't go too far due to limits like copyright laws, but it can be much more accessible, resulting in a bigger number of mods available.Potential is always there. Even though Rockstar didn't support it, people made a multiplayer mod for San Andreas

That would be awsome, Even go as far as to turn on your 360 from your cell, or PC? Use the same principle as the controller and that would rock, see something new on your cell and just start ur 360 up from school and start the download ;D

semajhs,
I must admit that I was thinking that the 360 would be left on (with Auto-Off disabled). I thought because the 360 wouldn’t be doing much it wouldn’t generate much heat, and it could possibly be safe to leave it on (but I don’t really know). But the idea of being able to turn on the console using your mobile is a very good one. I really don’t know if it is possible without adding an extra adapter. I don’t know how much of the 360 is powered when the 360 is switched off, but I really like your idea.
