I want to draw Cloud from Final Fantasy.
I know it isnt gonna be easy...
But i want to try it...
It would take a long time considering that i dont even know much about human figures...
But for this Comp, i would just come up with some small sketch/ doodle because i am sooo busy..

Actually, his shirt is a much lighter color. Here's a reference, Dave.

Well, forget the face. It looks fine, in my opinion. The stubble could be a bit lighter, though, since it is Nathan Drake.
However, his arms, I think, severely dwarf his chest and lower abdomen to an extent where it looks like they're literally crushing his upper torso. I know caricatures aren't supposed to look anatomically-correct, but usually everything except for the head should mirror exactly, or at least close to, how the human body is portrayed realistically. That means the width of the arms should be at least half or one-third the width of the upper-torso.Steam & PlayStation Network: BlacksitePSU | 3DS Friend Code: 1349-4916-2054

But shouldnt humans stay proportional no matter what style theyre drawn in ?
It doesnt look right to have say , 1 ear bigger than the other , 1 shoulder bigger than the other when drawing a human figure regardless of what style it is in.
But whatever , just get your final entry to my by thursday evening

That's not necessarily true. We're talking about caricatures. Like this, for instance, drawn by someone else:

The only part of the body that's usually exaggerated is the head and facial features. It's like when you look at a person and point out distinctive features of them that grab your eye -- when you translate it into paper, you put more emphasis onto those features, thus exaggerating them.
However, even in the Nathan Drake reference I provided in my earlier post, his arms aren't abnormally larger than his upper-torso. So even if you wanted to put some emphasis on that part of his body onto paper, you couldn't, because it's just not there and thus it's not noticeable. Not to the artist and not to others.
That's all it is, Cliche'.Steam & PlayStation Network: BlacksitePSU | 3DS Friend Code: 1349-4916-2054
