6.0..........
Better get a HUGE upgrade.
You are using 6.0 and it barely has no options...I know because i used it.
Try getting Photoshop CS, or CS2. They have top notch photographic techniques. But the signatures are not done alone...you have to learn a lot, and you have to be really creative and make your own style.

He doesn't need a huge upgrade, 7 would be fine, 7 isn't that far from the creative suites, I used 7 for a long time before converting to CS.

Wow, someone who actually wants to buy Photoshop. Retail price is above. By "retail stores" I'm assuming you mean a physical, non-online store. I saw 7.0 at Staples a few months ago. If they had CS2 it musta been behind some bulletproof glass or something.
I think I can save you a couple hundred bucks (it's legal). I know I saved myself some. People complain about a $500 supercomputer, but for an image editor? Sheesh! Sure!

Since there is no Photoshop for Linux, all those -nix nerds made their own program. The Gimp is the fruits of their knowledge.

06-10-2006 #8nope, not that i know of.I'm pretty sure best buy has it.go to abobe.com store or search online, but expect to pay 500 bucks on it. its really neat and has a ton you can do, but after paying up expect to spend a ton of time learning everything, you wont be making brilliant sigs you see for a couple hours. trust me im still learning and ive had it for months. Thanks guys, one more question. Honestly though, pretty much all the sigs you see on here could be done probably on Photoshop 4 and newer. The important thing to learn in Photoshop is layers, layer masks, layer modes, and how to make accurate selections. The newer Photoshops like CS and CS2 make it super easy to do some of the beveling/shadowing,text effects stuff, but the blending, glowing, artsy effects are still old school techniques.
Remember that graphic designers like 10 years ago were doinf the same sort of stuff, and had way less options to work with. So it can be done.

Yeah, passing around key generators is a good way to get this site in trouble...so keep that in mind.
This topic should probably be locked before someone says something (or posts some "link") that could get this site in trouble, trust me, I've seen it before.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
