Over at the forza 3 community site, I was reading through this thread about a Le Mans race using FM3... 24 hours...
http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/fo...d/2634132.aspx
Here is the site for the race:

I am signing up for this. It will be an amazing test of endurance.
I will be recording the entire race and uploading it. I know people won't want to actually watch 24 hrs of racing lol, but you'll be able to seek through, etc.
THis should be a great experience.

IMO if you're in warranty go for it.
my original xbox was left on for weeks at a time (no joke) - we worked out roughly that about 2 and a half weeks was its tops.
it died after 4 years of being transported from house to very smokey house and was constantly in my bag.
those were the days....

I rarely turn my 360 or PS3 off at all.... I don't think it'll have any problems, but I'll put a chill mat under it for the sake of doing it lol.
I can't wait to participate in this! I am getting a really nice chair/wheel/pedal setup just for this game..

As cool as these races are on a simulation front I don't have the patience, time, nor endurance to sit there and do it. Hats off to the guys who can. I think I'm actually gonna get this Forza, don't know why I never picked up 2.

That sounds like an interesting idea, but does the game actually support 24 hour races? And with only 8 cars that would be pretty boring in my opinion, more than likely you all will get spaced out and it'll turn into 24 hours of time trial.
Also, does the game support mechanical problems and pit stops? And day and night?
I remember GTR 1 or 2 had the 24 hours of SPA on it. Don't know if you could do it online but I ran it offline and since you could save your progress I would run an about an hour then save and play it another time.
That was a blast though, I did the race with the full field (I think 40-50+) and started in the rear with a LMP car and worked traffic, was doing good, probably close to 7 hours in and was running in the dark and when I resumed it I promptly put it in the wall lol, lost my rhythm from the day before haha.
That was a little off topic but anyways, if they do support 24 hours in Forza that would be cool, though its a pity you can't run with a full field of all the classes. I wouldn't mind doing a 12/24 hours race at Daytona (ala Rolex 24), as long as you could save it and have ai partners.
