my fps problem (in counter strike 1.6)

Hello so I have a problem with my fps in cs it's to low to be able to play competitvly but it used to be high enough anyway this thread is to help me get my fps back up.

    my pc:
toshiba sattelite A10 celeron 2,5 ghz
512 Mb ram (don't know how fast)
video card: intel mobiel extreme 82852 Link this videocard should take 64 mb of my system ram.

So I used to get 60-80 fps on resolution 800x600 and a bit lower on 1024x768 but nowadays I get 20-30 fps on both resolutions and lowering it even more has no effect either. So I would like to get this fps back up

My pc's hdd is not very full, very wel defragmented.
I have no background applications running such as msn and anti virus.
I have virtually no spyware,viruses,... at all!
    I have the latest drivers.
I have put smokepufs on 0, color mode on 16 bit, the settings on my videocard are also maximized for performance.

I'm really out of ideas on how to increase it again if anybody has any ideas they sure are welcome!

In contrast my cousin plays counter strike:source with 50 fps and he has 500mhz pc, 192 mb ram, 32 mb last gen videocard!!

p.s. has anyone got the slightest clue what mobile nvidia cards cost?

First off, is this counter-strike source? And is the newest version of source. Because if it is the newest version of source, i was reading on the steam forums that this version is giving alot of people trouble. And you have to get away from the intergrated video.

I specificl said Counter strike 1.6. I did not say counter strike: source did I ?

anyway I think the reason is I have some damaged hardware cause of heat my proc goes up to 90 degrees celcius when I play.

I can't just go away from the integrated video I have a laptop, I'm not sure if it's upgradeable with a videocard and don't know what they would cost and certainly have no idea where I would get them.

I just have one question did you say intel mobile extreme 82852, bro this sounds like an on-board card, the chance of you upgrading to a new grahpics card are not good, its better that you buy a new computer, try to save money. But my sugguestion to you about 1.6 would be go into your BIOS and try to see if you can ajust the on board grahpic settings, now i dont want you doing this right away, if you know what your doing go for it, just becarfull, because i work with BIOS's so i know whats up sometimes

    Buy a new computer?
Nah man, he needs a new Motherboard/Mainboard

Get a recently released motherboard.. preferably a SLI compatible one

Note: If you get a new motherboard you'll have to purchase your own Graphic card.. but with a new mainboard (preferably a recently released one) you'll get the whole package.. CPU, GPU, RAM.. (i think)
But it'll cost alot, and when i mean alot.. i mean ALOT.

But you see its more difficult for people to buy those things on a labtop and replace, then on a regualr home computer which is easier, anyways i still suggest he buys a new one.
