I do agree with this, as it is helping the kid to live a better life, he seems happier, his mum seems happier and hes eating better so why not.

And if the doctors say its being used properly then i see no problem whatsoever.

Cool story. People need to get over the "reefer madness" mentality and realize the positives.

    The names fail me but...

It was gone over in the Penn and Teller episode on the War on Drugs. The medical professor in question's (I know he's very important in the medical world, but I'm horrible with names) son had cancer. This was some 30~40 years back and there was really only radiation to treat the form of cancer.

His son felt so nauseous after treatment he couldn't eat. Eventually the man gave his son a joint before they'd go to treatment. After treatment his son immediately asked for a sandwich. It sounds like a stoner joke... smoke weed get the munchies but it is true, and it gave a child who died pre-maturely some happiness.

Edit: Lol okay now I need to watch the episode to get a name and a face.

This **** works for lots of things. Marijuana is an awesome drug and has very few negatives to it from what I have seen and from first hand experience.

    It was just a coincidence.

I think marijuana should only be used for medicinal use like this. It helped the poor kid eat and got him off those other drugs. Its probably much cheaper too. I don't advocate it being legalized to get high off of though.

Typical medicines do little, or nothing to subdue the side effects of autism. Although admittedly is depends ont he person and their spectrum of autism.

It's good that he's doing better now, and that he has a loving mother to take care of him.

I have a friend with Crohn's Disease and her doctor told her that marijuana would help with the pain and relaxing certain muscles. It helps her out more than any of her other medications.

She can also LEGALLY smoke marijuana anywhere in Canada, she has her "card" from the federal government.

I think it should be legalized. I don't smoke it myself, but it's obviously clear that it can help people with medical issues. It's just something I don't understand, the way the system works when it comes to drugs.

According to the media, marijuana is bad... yet people are allowed to smoke cigarettes, which has been proven time and time again that the product kills. And people continue to smoke them regardless of the surgeon general warning on the product. I haven't heard a case of marijuana killing anyone, have you?

People will make a profit out of almost anything, even if it kills...

But cigarette does not make people chase UFO or repeats the same crap argument over and over again. It's like talking to a recording machine that repeats the same stuff over and over again.

    Your joking right?

Maybe it did'nt kill the users, but it made them kill other people? Ever though of that?

Lol, and where is the harm in chasing UFOs or repeating the same crap over again? Sounds pretty harmless to me. Unless you're going to die of annoyance, instead of something that actually kills like lung cancer, then you really have nothing to say to give a negative connotation to marijuana.

It has been proven that cigarettes kill (not through influencing the user to kill someone else) -- it cripples your health and yet it remains on the market, because politicians think that raising the tax on the product is a good deterrent to please people who want to outright ban it, if not just in public places.

Please link me to an article that specifically proves that marijuana caused the user of the drug to kill someone else. And yes, I have thought about that but I've never seen, nor have I heard of it. So I can't say it's a negative effect that can be applied to marijuana. I need the proof.

I know someone that had nervous breakdown due to smoking a helofalot of weed for many years and now they are a shell of their previous self, he is now a dull, timid, shy and often looks at you with a really blank stare.
It does depend on the person, I smoked alot of weed and I never had a break down or maybe I just didnt smoke enough, who knows.
