Xbox 360 Elite dying?

I have had my Elite for a good while now. It's already RROD'd once on me and I got the exact same machine back repaired. It died on me around christmas but has been working perfectly until 2 days ago. It has randomly started going to a black screen and needing resetted (hard to explain).

Basically. I started up my Xbox, two days ago. It loaded up fine but as it got to the dashboard, the screen went black. I figured I'd leave it for a second or ten. Nothing happened. So I reset it. Worked fine. Saw nothing of it there-after.

Today. About five minutes ago. I was playing the Fifa 10 demo and as I was about to kick off on my first game. Screen goes all black. So I just turned it off and never bothered and came straight on here, and this is where I am now.

Anyone know what might be happening?

this happened to me also (with the fifa 10 demo), screen went black and froze. I think its something to do with the demo and not your machine. Unless mine is going too, however thats the first freeze i have ever had on my elite (got it August 2008 ).

Sounds like the motherboard is going (just asked my 360 geek mate who mends wm for fun)........you will have to send it back or get a new one bro.

EDIT....just seen pez's reply....maybe im wrong then??!!! well try a diff game?? hasnt happened to me the 2 times if played the demo.

Ok hopefully it's nothing serious. It's happened twice. Once on the dashboard as it just loaded and once as I was playing Fifa. I guess I'll just have to wait and see and hope it doesn't crap out on me again.

When the screen goes black, your Xbox is on the death bed. Heard it a good many times.
