I was an early adopter (idiot) and have not felt the need to 'upgrade' to the XL. Cannot wait for Paper Mario and Luigi's Mansion, hopefully some RPG's will come rolling out too.

Funny you should ask, I actually thought of that. I've come to the conclusion that it wouldn't be worth it, I've come too far with this collection. I never had a large DVD collection, (maybe 25 movies total, and I started buying more when the ps3 came out) so when more blu-ray movies were dropping in retail shelves, I stopped buying DVD's and traded some in to re-purchase the blu-ray versions of them. It's amazing how fast prices dropped in blu-ray when it came out. But to re-buy them again would be a waste for me as I already have a lot of BD's. I will buy 4K format movies, just movies that I don't have in my collection. Originally Posted by itachi73378

Those 4K screens are huge 80+ inches.
The bigger the screen the bigger the pixel hence the need for more smaller pixels.

Sitting far enough, even a DVD looks good on a 1080p screen, so 1080p blu ray will last for a long time
