Purple? That car is as blue as a Smurf
(Great color - looks neat under sodium lights or at a sunset).
Yeah, unfortunately that's a high risk car for theft, hopefully you have a secure location for parking it at night, if not, then would you mind sending me your address? No reason really...

Speaking of stealing: I had no idea (prior to buying it) that S2K's are targets for seat theft. Yes, the seats.
Not only are they semi-easy to remove from a roadster (especially with the top down), but they're like $3500 a set OEM cost (I believe they're sourced from Recaro), and apparently bolt right up in cars like a Civic.
I now have seat locks (and seat lock stickers
)

Lol I live in the inland empire in southern california, I wouldn't expect it to be stolen much faster in Arizona. I can't count how many stolen 2k's are on the regional stolen boards.
Luckily I have a brake club, viper alarm and I'll soon be able to remove my steering wheel with ease. Since I know that it will never be theft proof I'm just going to make it such a ***** that 90% of car thieves won't be able to get in/take it away without towing it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I bulleted your list because you might be able to find a couple of attributes [you listed] where a import might be better, it's a pretty sweeping generalization to say all of them.
Particularly the price item if you pair it with power. Heck, even the MPG might surprise you, especially in the performance arena where you have 500+ HP domestics, getting 29+ MPG cruising on the highway at 70MPH.

I got a 2007 Civic Si 4 door. I love my car. So much fun to drive, good on gas, and great on takeoff.
