I can't believe what these people are able to do with the livery.... granted, these guys are some of the BEST around, but there are plenty of great designs like this. AMAZING.

I think there will be more freedom as for as how much you can do.. but for the most part, they'll be working with most of the tools. I think they've basically expanded on it some.

How do they do them in-game? Can you put textures there from an usb stick or something, how do they import them?

it's really amazing; you use basic shapes, etc. layered and layered, etc.

Basically the game comes preloaded with shapes, letters, symbols, etc that you can make how big or small you want. What these people are doing is taking a grey shape like a triangle or circle and actually making these designs by posting them over and over again. When they get the design they want they may color it and do all the details. All of this is done on a grid within the game.

This vid is about 33 mins. long and even though the vid streams it won't let you skip ahead until the video is loaded. But about half way through they show how it's done. You need a lot of talent and patience to do it.

all this stuff is obviousley the reasons why forza doesnt look as good as the competition in the car model department, i bet coding all this etc takes allot of time out of other asset time.

id honestly rather take all this stuff, coz ive never seen anything like this on any console racer ever. absolutely amazing, cant wait to just make some crud ones of my own lol

Forza's custom paint job is perhaps the best feature I can think about the game. I'm not big fan of driving games but some of the awesome paint job just made me turn head.

console wise probably not, other then in previous NFS titles. PC wise, majority of racing games allow you to import custom paintjobs, which allows more freedom then Forza has.

Now if Forza allowed you to use paintshop/photoshop like most PC racers use to paint, and import them through USB or Download, that would be cool.

I think that's the big difference though. You can't import anything. You basically have to use shapes, and basic editing to those shapes, to get the effects you see here.

TrackMania was doing that years ago, so you're mistaken.

It would be great if you could import though,it would give you a lot of freedom.Its better than nothing i guess,and the outcome is very nice.
