You did log into your account in the same place after you had logged out right? Have she purchased any apps using your account previously?

Sorry I meant, after you had logged out on the device did you log into her account on the phone again? Might be that she needs to log into her Apple account on her computer in iTunes then sync the phone to her computer too.

Hahaha, the RIM one is amazing!
I think Cook _is_ doing an outstanding job, and I don't want to sound "worshipy", but certainly everything Apple continues to do is because of the things put in motion by Jobs. I still think of MS as the "Bill Gates" company regardless of his lack of direct involvement
Totally agree about using their very deep pockets to get media/content deals in place to support an Apple Television product. If that's something on deck, we all pretty much have to agree that the current content model will not work.

There are some significant hurdles to Apple making content deals. First we most consider the fact that over half of Apple's money is outside the U.S meaning it would cost money in taxes and fee's to bring it back to the U.S. Secondly, what do you do about the international market? Making deals for the U.S is all fine and dandy - sure but there's more markets where there's a significant financial inclination for Apple to be present with such a product. Like the U.K, Italy, Germany and France. Also look at China. China will soon be a bigger market for Apple than the U.S so they need deals there as well. All the sudden things are looking expensive.
Then we have to consider that content deals expire, Apple may pull something huge of in terms of content today but what about the next time they have to negotiate new deals? If they burn all the money the first time there's a big chance the return of those deals won't be enough to cover expenses the next time.
I'm not saying it won't happen but it is a lot more complicated than it may seem at first. Especially when you consider the international markets.

I think the criteria we use to measure the "best Mac ever" would be different depending on your needs. I looked at the Air and the screen size is just too limiting. If they came out with a 15 inch with antiglare, it would be easier for me to accept the claim of "best Mac ever".
On another subject, I work with spreadsheets with 50,000+ rows and this month I decided to do some work in excel on Win7 that I have installed on the MBP. It ran without a hitch. The funny thing is that the spreadsheet has been known to crash or sit on an hourglass for long periods of time on my Windows only machines at work and home. Very impressed! I will probably use the MBP when I need to work from home in the future. It runs Excel better than my Gateway and HP.

update from me, been messing around with the newest JB and this is my theme so far:

LS Sleek 24h Blue
Move2Unlock - set as peel lockscreen. This is similar to the android method of moving the lock screen away with your finger to unlock the phone (incase you were wondering)

page 1 of my springboard
perpageHTML for the clock/weather widget, think its called HTC weather or something.
Bigify+ with granite texture applied to apps.
the background is animated and moves from the earth to the moon and back to the earth, pretty cool. You can find animations in vWallpaper 2 through cydia, you have to add a repo for this but can't remember what it is....

this is my notification centre. few tweaks on here including the background colour, musiccenter and calendar tweak. also have bitesms which you can access through the bottom of the notification centre with the message icon.

custom siri background which can be found on cydia also.
thats pretty much it, i love jail breaking. this is the best theme i have had so far. let me know what you think of it!
oh, and one more thing.........
bought a macbook air today

I would love to get a MBA, but I don't think I'd like the screen size too much.

don't take this the wrong way regarding the iPhone stuff because its cool, i just think its funny to do things to an iPhone to make it more like an Android device...

I'm wondering since their time is closing, according to macrumors.
Is there some special event Apple announces/releases new iMacs? Or do they just pop up upgraded on their website?
Also is there any apple event scheduled in the next couple of months?

Went to a meeting with a VC guy to support a client (they've actually offered me some equity, C-level role ... that's another story). Anyway, they had a nice big display in the conference room, wound up needing an adapter that they had. My client mentioned "You Mac people", the VC guy was like "Well, it's totally worth it even with a couple of adapters", and when were leaving I noticed the office was a huge Mac-o-Rama

Also showed off the app running on an iPad, pretty sweet, and definitely pushed the right buttons (knowing the sales and penetration of the iPad, especially in the .EDU space where this product is [initially] targeted).
Nothing particularly relevant, just a little Apple related story.

Grrrr... I don't know if I can wait till spring/summer to get one! I know though, that if there is any significant upgrades (sandy b) then I'll be upset for buying and not waiting.
FFFFFS!!!
