Guys, I need your help!
So all was good with my fresh Mountain Lion install until I accidentally deleted the new Notes app... It's completely gone from the system. I already re-downloaded the Mountain Lion installer but can't figure out how to install this one application without reinstalling everything.
What am I meant to do? Back in the day, I simply used to insert my Snow Leopard disc and it would let me install each application separately if I wanted to.

Do you have a TimeMachine backup? If so, you could manually backup anything not included in that backup and restore from a the most recent TM backup from where the Notes app was still installed.
Otherwise, you'll probably have to reinstall the OS. If so, archive and install should be the best option.
Or wait for 10.8.1...Other opinions are available.

Here you go, buddy: http://www.mediafire.com/?n495d1j53jrbbk5
Given that this is the Notes app from my computer, you or may not need to change the permissions of the app to get it to open. If that's the case, just highlight the app and press Command + I to access the get info window, and on the bottom of the app should be privilege settings... and you simply set the privileges to your administrator account.
Another app you might want to look into... since now are gone the days of installer discs with Apple computers... is an app called Pacifist. It allows you to take an installer... such as the Mountain Lion installer... and select specific parts... such as individual apps... to install instead of the entire OS. It's used for situations just like yours.Last edited by PeanutButterMunky; 08-09-2012 at 08:23.

Apple's rumored cable TV box would 'erase distinction between live and on-demand content,' says WSJ
Interesting to see if Apple can even make such a product and have the Cable companies agree.

That would be both sexy and delicious. The big cable companies are douche nobs, though. We'll see what happens.

What other definition is there? Live is as it happens i.e the same as on the TV.

Ugh..
I had to switch back over to my iphone 4, on Verizon. So, I didn't have a wifi connection yet, so going to the app store, it pops up that there isn't any cellular data connection. Says, "Could not activate cellular data network". It shows the 3G icon at the top. I went to Settings > Network and Cellular Data is ON. I've never had that before.
I've turned it on airplane mode for a few mins, then turned that off, still no go. I rebooted the phone, no go. I'm lost.Last edited by F34R; 08-19-2012 at 13:44.

Ended up going through a decent amount of troubleshooting.
I turned on/off airplane mode.
Turned off data service, turned back on.
Reset Network settings
Soft reset
hard reset
at the end, I did a complete wipe. Ok, so I have the phone JB, and forgot to NOT erase all settings and content.
Well, so the phone turns off, goes into restart, and the circular "busy" icon turns and turns for about ten minutes. I went ahead and held power + home button until the phone restarts. Apple logo comes on screen, and within a few mins the phone has restarted. All icons, etc., are there like there wasn't any content erased. Also, it gave me the activation message. A couple mins later, everything is working 100% again.
