I own an iPod Touch 2G and an iPad 2. i really like the new design of the new iPod Touch and considering that my 2G is getting outdated and not supported anymore i thought i should get the new one. Im not really interseted in an iPad mini, i think if you want a big screen get an ipad if you want a more portable device then get an iphone or touch, buying an ipad mini doesnt make that much sense.

Nope, i have a Samsung Galaxy S3 already. I want the new iPod touch cause i really like ipod touches mainly cause they are very mobile and cool devices. Its like an entertaining mp3 player. Nobody can call you and you can listen to music and play games. Also the new design is extremely sexy. The only downside im thinking of are the specs, cause these new ipod touches arent as powerful as the iphone 5.

I mean if you really want one... But it seems kind of redundant if you already have an SIII. And isn't there a do not disturb feature in android 4.xx?

And expecting the ipod touch to have the same internals as the iphone 5 is rather lubricious considering the price difference.

People already complain about the $299 price as it is.

Is that for the iPhone 5? I'm really hoping one of my local stores will have a 32GB Sim free black one in stock when i get back from America. I can't be dealing with contracts anymore. They are ridiculous with the amount extra you pay. I'm just going to buy the handset outright and go on a £15 a month rolling contract for 200 minutes and unlimited data and texts. That will fit my needs perfectly especially with the amount of tethering i do with my laptop and now iPad

Oh yeah, forgot to write that it's for my iPhone 5 order. When are you getting back? It seems like Apple is banking on having supply better in line by the end of the month. Although, the wait time is still 3-4 weeks if you order today.

My contract isn't up until May, so I won't be able to get the iPhone 5 until April. My question is when will they bring the iPhone 6 S out?

iPhone 5 you mean? Presumably, the next iPhone will be released roughly a year after the iPhone 5. So late September/early October 2013 most likely.

I jumped the gun a bit there lol

Cool so it's worth getting the iPhone 5 then in April it looks and sounds a big improvement on my iPhone 4 S. I've had a look at it in shops the screen quality looks a lot better!!

My personal stick is to upgrade every other generation. I.e iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 etc. Obviously everyone has different needs and economic situations. But personally I wouldn't buy a new phone every year.

Back in the UK on the 23rd of this month at the latest. I'd imagine they would keep a few in stock at stores, maybe that is just wishful thinking though

As Tut has said, i don't think it would be that much of an upgrade from a 4S. I'd wait till the 5S comes out as that will be a much better upgrade. I'm yet to own an 'S' version of an iPhone because my contract runs out just after the S is released and i usually cut my contract down in price and just wait until the new one is released.

Depending what the 5S is like though, I may buy that when it comes out as well as i won't be locked into a contract - Obviously i'd sell my 5 and hopefully still be able to get a decent price for it

You are right those new iPod Touches are indeed very expensive however i already had an experience with an ipod touch and really enjoyed using it, especially surfing in the web and playing games. The design is also one of the main things which says buy that expensive and overpriced apple product. I still need some more time to consider.

I'm glad I changed from the 4S to 5.

Now we'll see about the 5S when the time comes. I'm on a one year contract this time as well.

I'm glad the general response to the new iPhone is positive. I'll be due for an upgrade in a week from today, and I think it's finally time to swap out my iPhone 4 for the 5. Most likely going with the white design this time, as well.
