Had a quick look via Google and it does look impressive. They have GoW: CoO running which I never played. Might give it a go.

Are Microsoft Office keys transferable to Mac? Just wondering becuase my folks are crappy with windows PCs, my dad once tried to install a virus but luckily the antivirus stopped him from doing so.
They have only ever had my cast of computer parts and now they are struggling to see the TV screen from their couch so I suggst they need a lap top of some sort and I hear macs are pis easy to use and do not get viruses.

Microsoft sells them as different products so you can't transfer a license. You'd have to buy the Mac version of Office. It might also be worth checking out Pages which is Apple's own word processing application. I much prefer it to Office. And it's much cheaper.

I am having an odd issue with my Macbook Pro 17 inch.

Sometimes the mouse pointer will not change to what it is suppose to. For example, when you hover over a link, the pointer should change from an arrow to a hand or when your pointer is inbetween letters on a site, you should the blinker. I have uploaded a video and shared the dropbox link for it so I can show what it is.

It happens every now and then and is getting annoying.

    Here is the video link:

Hopefully today, I'll be coming home with a maxed iMac from the store. I hope they have them.

Do you have the same issue across the OS or just in Chrome? Running the latest version of everything? Did you add that effect of the pink indicator in post or is it a hack? If so, that may be the issue.

Across the OS (when it's happening) and yeah I am on the latest updates/latest version of everything (OSX related.)

As for the pink indicator, that's there because of the video recording program I use; it indicates when/where I click. I forgot to turn that off.

I believe it is updated to the latest but I will double-check. (The updates you see in the top bar is because I have the Adobe CS Suite.) I have the same programs on my work macbook and it doesn't happen there.

Try creating a new account and test if its isolated to your user or if it's systemwide. Are you using a mouse or a trackpad? If a mouse try unplugging it and plugging it in again.

Loving it so far. It's speedy fast compared to what we've had for the past five years lol.

I'll give that a try and see what happens. Now I just have to wait for it to happen.

Thanks for the assistance so far!

If you are using a mouse, and it's a Logitech mouse, that may very well be the issue. Lots of people seem to have similar issues you have with some Logitech mouses.

Guys if you install windows through bootcamp, is it a full actual OS or a virtual windows?
I wonder when a nuclear warhead goes off, does the frame rate of real life drop?

Windows installed via Bootcamp is running natively on your Mac hardware on its own partition. Meaning every weakness/strength of Windows can affect your Windows installation such as Viruses etc.

Hmm, I actually use the Apple mouse. I may have connected a Logitech mouse to the macbook once or twice but I mostly use the Apple mouse.

Odd. Try unplugging the mouse when it happens anyway and see if it does the same thing on the trackpad. That'll give us a scale of the issue.

Have you noticed any other graphical glitches?

This. After installing Windows via Boot Camp, it's essentially the same as having a Windows PC... except you can choose whether to boot OS X or Windows by holding down the alt/option key upon startup.
