I freakin' LOVE this Nexus 7 tab...

I've been contemplating on an Android tab vs an iPad... price + features got me going on the Nexus 7. I'm a happy owner at this point.

I received the $25 credit in google wallet, so I've already spent some of it for the best freakin' games. I'll get some apps after some research, but at least Guitar Pro will be on there for sure. It's a nice pad to use for sure though. I'll need to get some kinda hd cam to film some for youtubing.

Heard all good things about the Nexus 7. I'd get one myself if I didn't prefer "power" tabs like the GT 10.1 or the Transformer.


Sucks we don't get Google Wallet here.

Congrats F34R, it seems like a superb tablet. I was really keen on the idea of getting one when they first unveiled it a few weeks ago but since then I've got myself an e-reader. With reading books and surfing the web/emailing being the main reasons I would have got one I can't really justify it anymore, but if I had any spare cash I'd bag it in a flash

It's powerful... for sure. It's beyond the kindle fire hardware and software wise. I miss having my iPad because I have a decent amount of apps and games that are basically shared between my iPhone and iPad.

With the Otterbox, the phone is a normal-feeling phone, both in weight and size. I can take a couple pics if you'd like to see what the Otter does for it.

Far as screen goes with Samsung, Apple comes in at 326ppi, this hits 350:

That's good, just a bit higher then my SXS which is 342ppi

Has anyone here got the HTC One X? The contract on my crappy HTC Wildfire is finally up in the next few days and I'm looking at getting this. Found some pretty good deals. £100 for the handset on a £21.50 tariff with O2 here in the UK.

Yeah, I've been researching it and it sounds like a really good phone..especially with the latest Jellybean updates and Sense 4.1.

Apparently Amazon is set to release their phone?

Verizon Wireless is set to release the Samsung Galaxy Stellar for $100. They say it has Amazon apps. I can't tell it has Amazon and Google apps or if it strictly has Amazon apps.

I honestly don't know why someone would buy an iPhone over the newest Android phone. Apple are still ripping off the consumer, seriously I can barely find a second hand 3GS for the same price I can find a brand new One X !!

They laugh at our Playstore and look down upon us, in short they ain't got a fucking clue
I had a conversation with a kid at work when he showed interest in my phone, he said my phone was nice but made tge mistake of saying"but nothing beats the 4S"
So I ask him why? And it went like this
Him- The 4S has got the best camera
Me- My camera is 12mp and can capture a photo from standby in 1.05 seconds
Him- But nothing beats the retina display its proper HD
Me- Isn't that something like 960x600 something pixels? My phone actually has a 720p screen and its ppi is 342 too, which is also better
Him- Android just sucks anyway
Me- thought you'd say that( smiled and went for a cig)
But yeah, they have a blind following

I don't think anyone is being ripped off. Between the Galaxy S3 on Verizon vs my iPhone 4 on Verizon. I definitely love the hardware and power the S3 has over the iPhone. I like the customization that I had with it too. However, I didn't like the fact that I was battery dead within half a day with the usage I had. I didn't exceed what I was doing on the iPhone 4. My iPhone 4 has the same usage as I am using the S3, yet the iPhone doesn't need to be charged for two days at least.

The prices 2nd hand are determined by supply and demand.

While I agree with you, no "fanboy/fangirl" are as bad as the Apple ones. The worst of it is, that a lot of them are just normal people that get angry because they don't know any better.

No one is as rabid as APple fanboys.

Even pro-360 people are actually just like us Playstation fans - except you know, they like the 360 better (which is perfectly fine - different strokes; right or left hand and all that ).

Of course there are exceptions to the rule.

But yeah, nothing beats the ignorance and the plain disdain for anything made that wasn't by their "god" Steve Jobs. Just rabid and is downright bigoted sometimes (see Instagram for the best example).

No I do agree and sorry to have left that out.

It seems that on the default, the perception is always of an air superiority and blanket "Apple is greatest bla blah blah". AS opposed to Android fans going; "a lot of products are actually great, it really is hard to say which one is the "best" for everybody".

Which so happens to be my main point of view.

I just get defensive when ignorant people like to think something doesn't hold a candle to their beloved iDevice because they fell for the marketing.


This goes for any type of fanboy of course.
