I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad

the DNA is coming with a quad core... vs S3 dual core (in the US). DNA battery, 2020 vs the 2100 on the S3. It has a 5" 1080p screen vs the slightly smaller 720p screen on the S3. Pick your poison.

Can use titanium backup to remove bloatware...if you have rooted your phone.

I am probably gonna bug you about this later.
the S3 should be getting the Jelly Bean update in the next few months. Does rooting your phone make updating to the new OS difficult?
And how to the "leaked builds" of OS compare to the official release?
I definitely want to get rid of some of the pre-packaged crap that comes with the phone.
========
Also I am kinda sour on HTC (after the thunderbolt)... perhaps I should just give Samsung a try

frequent xda forums..... you'll be happy. Leaked builds of the official OS isn't bloat free. The builds that come from devs are sometimes bloatware removed, sometimes, not. There are a decent amount of builds that have support, threads, etc. to look at. If you like testing stuff out, etc., you'll like root/builds for sure.
What carrier do you use?

Regardless of whether you are rooted or not, you should be able to use ODIN (a PC program) to flash any Samsung based firmware.
For example, the latest out right now is an Android 4.1.2 FW (ELK4) that features multi-view (think of it as side by side windows) for apps.
Are you unlocked? And what model are you using? i.e. I9300 etc?

Well, the s2 leak is 4.1.2. And it is very stable. The difference from ics is startling...almost like a new phone..not a joke. I flashed all of the leak apart from the csc and have had no issues at all...i am on my 3rd with this jb leak. Battery is good, at least for me.

You mean the S2 doesn't have an official JB update? or is this just a leak of an updated JB that the S2 already has?
-

No. The s2 doesn't have a 'official' rom yet. This one is a leaked rom although its incredibly smooth and for me, bug free.

I figured I would be "settling" for an S3, since my carrier (US Cellular) doesn't and won't carry the iPhone. I have to say, I REALLY like this S3 more than the iPhone 5 (based on checking out my step-dads iPhone 5).
The S3 has a big, but not so much so that it has hampered my ability to toss it in my front pocket. I am happy with my decision.

Anybody know a good free app that allows for silent photography? Tired of taking a picture, and half the country can hear it.

I believe phone cameras don't make sound if you turn down your ringing volume.
But as for question, no, sadly. You see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!

That's how mine works Gangsta. So try that out if you haven't already, Kwes. I have an S2.
I remember when I had a blackberry it would make the most annoying sound when taking a photo.
