The Nexus Prime is cool and all, but I'm sure as hell not buying it. Looks too delicate, and looks ugly. Fucking Motorola, why can't they just unlock their bootloaders? I'd jump on the Droid RAZR instantly

I love the look of the RAZR. And it looks durable too. Gorilla glass screen, kevlar backing, and general Motorola build quality. I think the NP looks ugly as fuck. It's too plain. The shape is like the reverse Droid RAZR/X. With the hump on the bottom, which IMO, is the wrong place to put it.
I'll hold till the next Nexus phone. Hopefully the Motorola Mobility deal will go through and they can ditch Samsung.I once ate a dirty sock...don't tell anyone.

I like the look of the GN..
I agree, the hump on the bottom does seem to have a rather awkward placement tho imo. Should be at the top you'd think, but thats the exact same design Sammy used for the Infuse and Galaxy S2s. And the plastic.... I wish they'd stop with the cheap plastics. Especially on the Nexus......... =(
I wish they'dve used some different designs for the Nexus rather then having it essentually the same as there previous devices.
Love the RAZRs a55 tho. =PLast edited by faaeng; 10-20-2011 at 04:08.
PCs are very much like Air Conditioners.
They both become utterly useless once you start to open up Windows....

I dunno, it just looks so unspectacular. I'm all for not overdoing the looks, but it could really use some flair. You can tell they really based it a lot off the Nexus S.
We'll see whats up with the HTC Vigor though. I just REALLY hate that Motorola locks their bootloaders. Back end does look pretty sweet though haha.I once ate a dirty sock...don't tell anyone.

The RAZR might have the Galaxy Nexus beat in looks but I couldn't care less about that, where the Galaxy Nexus shines is the software.
Right now I am more than happy with my Nexus S (since it is getting Ice Cream Sandwich
) and will probably wait till the next Nexus phone to buy my next phone.

for me, it's VERY smooth. . everything is instant...battery appears to be good. two days with moderate use...quite happy with that. Also noticed that sound has improved somewhat. . i use neutron player instead of stock and its worth the money...

I've got the HTC incredible. For the past few months now, I get an error message about storage space being low on my phone. I select it and it brings me to my list of apps to delete something. Well I've got every app I can on my SD card and my internal space is this: 194mb used 554mb free. So I come to find out that clearing data on applications will make the notification go away. Unfortunately, it also erases certain settings in the app itself.
Anyone know why I would get this with all the available space on my phone? I wouldn't care much, but I also just realized that when the notification is there, Gmail will not sync and I won't get email. Anyone know of a fix?

I have the same phone and had the same problem. You don't need to delete the data, just clear the cache of the individual apps. Maps, Facebook and a couple of others seem to be the biggest culprits. Also, delete any photos sent to you via MMS as this takes up space as well.
As for my next phone, It's down the HTC Rezound, Galaxy Nexus and Razr. I've pretty much ruled out the Rezound since I am not a big Sense fan anymore. From all of the forums I have been reading Samsung phones have sub-par radios. Also, the lack of an SD card slot is a major deterrent.
The built in battery is somewhat of an issue for the Razr but I'm reading that it's not as big of a deal as it appears to be. Motorola phones seem to have the best build quality of the three. NFC isn't an issue and think Bluetooth 4.0 is more important than NFC. Plus, the Razr is getting ICS in early '12.
On the flipside, the GN is made for ICS with it's lack of hardware buttons so the Motorola will have to remove the software buttons when they port ICS to the Razr. The bigger screen isn't important to me nor is 720p. The bigger issue IMO is the SAMOLED Advance in the Razr. They both use Pentile displays but I have read from people who have handed both, that the Razr screen is actually better looking.
In the end, I'm going to compare both phones side-by-side but right now I'm leaning towards the Razr.

^ I personally would get the Galaxy Nexus because I value getting updates straight from Google and the pure Vanilla Android experience, it's pretty much guaranteed to get the newest OS first straight from Google. Just like my Nexus S will get the ICS update before any other phone.

The screen for the GN is really good and I think there isn't much need to compare imo.

I've been trying to delete a thread of texts for quite a while now. I've managed a thread of over 3000 texts and every time I try to delete it, it hangs forever and usually ends up stopping the service. Is there a way to get to it on a pc and delete it? Or any other options?

Not that I am aware of. The problem is that you're just trying to delete too many as once. You're going to have to whittle them down. It's going to take some time but I think you're pretty much stuck doing it that way. Going forward, just don't let them get that big.
On another note, I've decided on the Razr. The radio and SD card are just too important to me. I'll get ICS when it's released in early '12. I can wait that long for some of the bugs to get ironed out.

nothing wrong with the look of the GN.
don't much like the plastic though... Samsung needs to step it up.
with ICS update coming up, think I'll skip the GN and wait for a Tegra 3 processor phone.
quad core + 1 companion core + 12 core gpu... yeah baby!
integration of use of game console controller was a great idea(Tegra 3 and ICS both allow this) without having to root from what I've been reading.
love the look of the Droid Razr but I think Moto messed up by not allowing user changeable battery, plus locked bootloader, ofcourse.
with the Google/Moto mobile deal, can't wait to see what comes out of it in the form of the next Nexus phone.Last edited by Mainspring; 11-30-2011 at 02:20.

I got one in white yesterday as an upgrade, moving on from a blackberry. I love it so far! I'm impressed at how much it's capable of, and at the same time too. I'm not very tech savvy with regards to phones so I can't offer that kind of advice, but if you can get the handset for cheap/free on a decent monthly plan I'd say go for it
The screen is just siiiiick.
Edit: Also, a friend told me that android 4.0 will be available for the S2 in January? o_O I know people have flashed the s2 to ics but it's not fully functional from what I know. I'd love ics on the s2 come January time, if true
