Ok. 2 days ago I purchased a 2gb memory stick pro duo (on sale at best buy for 89.00 CND). I figured I'd be able to put about 2 movies, 200 songs, maybe 200 pics, and my save files. But, after putting my first movie and my game saves, half my memory stick was filled up already!! I put about 190 songs, and now I only have 378 megs left. I tried lowering the quality of the movies, but they just look soooo crappy that way. I am using DVD Decryptor to get the files off the DVD and am using PSP Video 9 to convert and copy them to PSP. Some help please!!! :![]()

06-27-2006 #2ok mabe you can hep me out also, how do you do that. i have both programs but psp video 9 wont read the backup files the decryptor makes. should i not go throug hshrink also?I am using DVD Decryptor to get the files off the DVD and am using PSP Video 9 to convert and copy them to PSP.
but basicly your music files just make them WMV which if your import to windows media player shold be the default for ripped music. its alot smaller than mp3. your movies well just go to a lower setting, also depends on how long the movie is, most of the time when it says you can fit a full length movie its probably talking mabe an hour. and photos shouldnt take up too much room but 200 of them will take up a few mb.

Well with my photos I lower the quality of them. In my photo imaging software it has a setting email attachment. This around the quality I use. When viewing them on my PSP they don't look bad, pretty good actually.

If this thing can open archive files, I suggest to either .zip them or .rar them.

Hey, for music, download SonicStage. It formats your music files to .ATRAC and is about 1/3 of the size of WMV with good quality. And as far as PSP Video 9... it seemed to make my video sizes bigger....

Try to use DVDshrink to compress the movie files.
Try to compress your media as much as possible.

Sony's own ATRAC format uses little space, uses less space than the bloated MP3's.

What you need is PSP Movie Creator, it costs, but you can find cracks for it.
Using PSP Movie Creator I can get a movie down to 150mb, and STILL at DVD quality.
Its a great program.

I used to think MP3s were smaller than other formats.
How dum was I?

Mp3 were actually smaller than other formats...3 years ago
We got some like WMA, ATRAC or OGG and they fill less space than MP3s.
Hope it helps...

Thnx a lot guys for all the great replies
. I have one question though. I am going on a plane trip to Florida soon, and want my videos to be small file size, but still clear. What resolution and sound should I choose when converting into MP4 files?
