Whereas I personally hate changing the name of a clan, here at The Gaming Company, previously known as The Warfare Company, we decided the changes were all for the best. When the clan originated in early November of 2009, we planned on being a primarily Modern Warfare 2 title. However, we realize that Modern Warfare 2 would lose its touch inevitably. After some thought, we realized that there was no point in putting forth all that effort for only one title. Furthermore, we decided to broaden our views to more FPS / shooter style games. That is when we became a more established clan, and realized that we wanted to last long-term, rather than short-term. As time passed, and we got more and more members, and we began to consider yet another expansion. It was then that we expanded to the Xbox 360, and not long after that we decided that, later on down the road, we would expand to other genres of games such as racing.

It was with this decided expansion to other genres that we started to question the naming of our clan. The Warfare Company infers that we are an only, or primarily FPS clan. While right now that is true, as we transfer to our new site, making it a long-term home for all things in the clan, we thought that making the name change now as opposed to later on would be the most logical decision. Furthermore, we are The Gaming Company, or, in short, TGC.

*How much do you plan to play Modern Warfare 2? This game is going to own my life. Is that an answer? I won't have it until like 2 or 3 days after launch for my PS3, but I will pretty much be playing non-stop at least for a little while.

*When will you be getting Modern Warfare 2? Oops I answered this above. I will have it on XBOX at launch and PS3 a couple days after. If I end up deciding against getting the Prestige Edition on XBOX then I will probably just buy it on PS3 and XBOX at the same time.

*Reason For Joining: Like Kyaw, I also like a good team work effort within the team, and am well aware how FUBAR a game becomes without it

I'm pretty good at spotting what my teammates should be doing in FPS games though. e.g- "I'll cover this direction, other guy, you protect that doorway" etc. Also quite used to relaying enemy positions and movements over the mic thanks to time spent playing Warhawk.

Clan play is awesome, especially when done right. Numerous times I've played against clans on COD4 where you just don't stand a chance. Games like those I'll play invisible and be happy if I break even with regards to kills and deaths. I want to be in one of those clans. I'm also a big fan of pre-emptive planning and map labelling to allow communication quickly and efficiently in game.

Some more info - I have a mic and I'll be playing this a lot when it comes out. I'm in university right now, but only attending part-time and I'm unemployed, so I can put a lot of hours into playing every day.

Reason for joining: I'm pretty competitive and I'd like to play with people who have mics and will work together. All of my friends will be getting this but they don't really like to work together, they just kinda go around and run and gun rambo style.

Yes I have a fair amount of leadership experience. I have been a part of clans since SOCOM II up to KZ2. I was co-leader of multiple clans throughout R6V and COD4 and even started/participated in a couple with Echo in KZ2, of which our clan was very successful.

And I'll be getting MW2 on midnight launch.
